Who we're looking for:
As a Senior Product Analyst, you'll be the analytics partner to Rover's new Pricing Experience team. The team's goal is to make Rover a better value for pet parents by equipping care providers with the tools they need to become more competitive in the market. Because care providers set their own prices on Rover, the team focuses on the product experience, tools, and insights around price.
You'll help the business make data-driven decisions about the pricing experience, from sizing early opportunities to designing, running, and analyzing the complex experiments that drive value in our marketplace.
You'll also be a steward of marketplace performance. You'll help the team understand and explain what's happening in the marketplace, spot what's driving changes in key metrics, and dig into the root cause. When something needs action, you'll bring the right people together to find a solution.
This is a hybrid position that has the minimum expectation to work out of our Downtown Seattle Office two days per week on Mondays and Thursdays. For this reason, candidates must be based in the Greater Seattle Area.
Additionally, applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis, without the need for current or future employer sponsorship for an employment-based visa status.
\n
Your Responsibilities:
• Design, run, and read out experiments for the Pricing Experience team, with a focus on geo and market-level tests. Use the results to recommend which changes to move forward with, even when the data is ambiguous.
• Partner with the Pricing Experience PM and Data Scientist to find and size opportunities and help shape the roadmap, including building analyses like elasticity models.
• Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership and the product organization.
• Be the analytics point of contact for price-related data, and track how it affects key marketplace metrics.
Your Qualifications:
• 5+ years of experience in analytics.
• Experience designing and analyzing A/B tests and quasi-experiments, with a working knowledge of causal inference methods (e.g. difference-in-differences, synthetic control).
• A track record of owning analyses end to end in ambiguous or new areas where metrics weren't already defined, and using data to influence product decisions.
• Strong written and verbal communication, with the ability to explain complex or ambiguous findings clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong SQL and Python skills, plus experience with BI visualization tools.
• Regular, effective use of LLM tools in your analytics work.
Nice to have:
• Robust experience with agentic AI tools (e.g. Claude Code) in your day-to-day work.
• Prior experience with pricing analytics.
• Prior experience in a two sided marketplace.
• Familiarity with modern data tools and event-based datasets (e.g. Amazon Redshift, dbt, Statsig, Amplitude).
Benefits of working for Rover:
• Competitive compensation
• 401k match
• Flexible PTO
• Competitive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance
• Commuter benefits
• Bring your dog to work (and unlimited puppy time)
• Doggy benefits, including $1000 toward adopting your first dog
• Stocked fridges, coffee, soda, and lots of treats (for humans and dogs) and free catered lunches semi-monthly
• Regular team activities performed in-person and virtually
Compensation:
- In the greater Seattle area the first-year salary range is $129,139-171,755. Additionally, Rover offers benefits to full-time employees.
- The cash compensation offered for this role will be dependent on the candidate's experience, qualifications, skills, and abilities as demonstrated in the interview and hiring process.
