The team, position & mission:
At Orange Business, we help organizations leverage data and technology to accelerate their transformation. As a leading digital services company, we design and deliver innovative solutions across Data, Cloud, AI, Digital Experience, and Cybersecurity.
We are currently supporting a major banking transformation program involving the modernization of a Core Banking System and the migration of hundreds of legacy interfaces towards a modern Data Product architecture built on Databricks.
To strengthen our Data Solution team, we are looking for a Senior Technical Business Analyst with strong banking and data expertise to drive this strategic migration initiative.
As a Senior Technical Business Analyst, you will act as the bridge between business stakeholders, Core Banking experts, architects, and Data Engineering teams.
You will analyze existing T24 interfaces, define mappings towards target Data Products, identify transformation requirements, and help industrialize the migration approach through reusable frameworks and governance processes.
Your key areas of responsibility :
- Analyze the existing T24 interface landscape, including consuming applications, data structures, transformation rules, and dependencies.
- Map legacy T24 data to existing Databricks Data Products.
- Identify data gaps and recommend enhancements to target data models.
- Challenge legacy "lift-and-shift" approaches and promote business-oriented data sourcing strategies.
- Collaborate with Data Engineers and Solution Architects to design target-state data models.
- Define and document reusable onboarding and migration runbooks.
- Organize migrations into waves and coordinate activities across multiple stakeholders.
- Define, coordinate, and support testing activities, including parallel runs between legacy and target platforms.
- Support business validation and progressive decommissioning of legacy interfaces.
- Contribute to data governance and migration best practices across the program.
As an ideal candidate you have:
- 8+ years of experience as a Technical Business Analyst, Data Business Analyst, or similar role.
- Strong experience within the banking industry, ideally in Private Banking or Wealth Management environments.
- Proven experience in large-scale transformation, migration, or modernization programs.
- Strong understanding of banking data domains such as:
- Clients
- Accounts
- Portfolios
- Positions
- Transactions
- Financial Products
- Ability to analyze complex data structures, mappings, schemas, and transformation rules.
- Experience working across business, core banking, and data engineering teams.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
It is not a requirement, but other preferred qualifications would be:
- Temenos T24 / Transact
- TAFJ environments
- Databricks
- Data Product architectures
- Lakehouse platforms
- Bronze / Silver / Gold data layers
- SQL
- Data modelling
- Real-time and streaming data architectures
- Azure DevOps
- CI/CD practices
- Configuration-driven data pipelines
While hands-on Databricks development is not the primary focus of this position, candidates should be comfortable working in highly technical data environments and collaborating closely with Data Engineers.
