Full description

We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Project Manager, Client Implementation.

The jobholder is to lead, manage and support the clearing and settlement operations team who provides Direct Custody and Clearing settlement services in Hong Kong to Global Custody Clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing a high performing team to ensure service quality continues to be market and client leading.
  • Mentor, coach and develop team members and foster a strong team culture.
  • Manage the day-to-day settlement of equities and fixed income in the Hong Kong Market, China Connect (Shanghai and Shenzhen markets).
  • Understand the impact of market developments to operations then support the preparation and implementation of anticipated changes.
  • Manage operational risk, including its identification, assessment, mitigation and control, loss identification and reporting.
  • Constantly seeking streamlining opportunities and working with management, other operations teams and support areas to implement.
  • Participate in service reviews and interact with client’s senior operations personnel.
  • Ensuring operational issues are escalated early and resolved efficiently, and client queries are responded to professionally and quickly.
  • Support system enhancements by providing subject matter expertise to the project team and UAT support during implementation.

Requirements:

  • University degree preferably in Business or Information Technology
  • Solid experience in the custody, broker outsourcing of clearing, banking or securities industry
  • Strong management and operational experience in securities clearing and settlement, including settlement processing experience
  • Track record of project management and supervising a team
  • Hong Kong and China Connect market experience preferred but not necessary.
