As our commercial footprint continues to grow across international markets, we are looking for an experienced Pre-Sales Solutions Architect (Pre-Sales Engineer) to strengthen our global sales organization. This role bridges Business Development, Sales, and Solution Engineering by qualifying new business opportunities, supporting technical discovery, and ensuring seamless collaboration between customers, Sales, Product, Solution Engineering, and Delivery teams.
In this position, you will engage with enterprise, partners, system integrators, device manufacturers, and mobile network operators to understand their business challenges and technical requirements. You will play a key role in identifying qualified opportunities, improving sales efficiency, and enabling the successful adoption of OQ Technology's satellite IoT solutions.
We are looking for a solution-oriented IoT professional with good knowledge of IoT technologies, including protocols and hardware, cellular networks, and SATCOM architectures and protocols, combined with relevant experience in the space industry.
Tasks
Sales support
- Support the Sales team throughout the entire sales cycle, from opportunity qualification to technical closing.
- Participate in customer meetings to understand business objectives, technical requirements, and success criteria.
- Qualify opportunities from both a technical and solution-fit perspective
- Develop solution architectures that address customer requirements and business needs.
- Present and demonstrate OQ Technology's products, services, and value proposition to technical and business stakeholders.
- Prepare technical proposals, solution descriptions, and responses to RFPs/RFIs.
- Support commercial and pricing discussions by providing technical guidance and effort estimates.
- Enable and support channel partners, system integrators, and strategic alliances.
Solution design
- Design end-to-end customer solutions leveraging OQ Technology's satellite IoT and NTN capabilities.
- Define solution architectures, interfaces, APIs, integration approaches, and deployment models.
- Recommend the most appropriate products and services based on customer requirements and use cases.
- Validate technical feasibility and solution fit with Product Management and Engineering teams.
- Identify technical, operational, and deployment risks and propose mitigation plans.
- Translate complex technical concepts into practical customer solutions and clear business value.
Customer Engagement
- Build trusted relationships with customer technical teams, partners, and key stakeholders.
- Lead technical workshops, discovery sessions, and requirements for gathering activities.
- Act as the primary technical point of contact during the pre-sales phase.
- Support Proof of Concepts (PoCs), pilots, and technical evaluations.
- Provide technical guidance during onboarding and early deployment activities.
- Drive technical qualification, solution positioning, and technical closing strategies for strategic opportunities.
- Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
Product & Market Feedback
- Capture customer requirements, competitive insights, and market trends.
- Provide structured feedback to Product Management to support product evolution and roadmap planning.
- Contribute to product roadmap discussions from a customer and market perspective.
- Develop technical sales collateral, solution templates, use cases, and best practices.
Internal Enablement
- Train Sales teams on new products, technologies, and market positioning.
- Develop reusable technical presentations, demonstrations, and customer-facing materials.
- Maintain standard solution architectures, reference designs, and technical documentation.
- Contribute to Sales Kits, Battle Cards, technical playbooks, and competitive positioning materials.
- Collaborate effectively with the Sales, Product, Engineering, and Operations teams.
- Influence stakeholders and drive alignment across multiple departments without formal authority.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, Electronics, Engineering, or related fields.
- 5+ years of experience in Pre-Sales, Solutions Engineering, Solutions Architecture, or a similar customer-facing technical role.
- Good understanding of IoT technologies, including protocols and hardware, cellular networks, and SATCOM architectures and protocols, combined with relevant experience in the space industry.
- Experience supporting enterprise sales opportunities from discovery through successful closure.
- Strong customer-facing, presentation, communication, and workshop facilitation skills.
- Ability to understand customer requirements and design scalable solution architectures.
- Ability to translate complex technologies into compelling customer value propositions.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with Sales, Product Management, Engineering, Delivery teams, and external partners.
- Self-motivated, organized, customer-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal English. Additional languages such as Spanish, French, German, or Arabic are considered an advantage.
- Candidates must be authorized to work in the European Union without requiring employer sponsorship and should be available to travel internationally.
