Position: Engineering Manager

Location: Londonderry, New Hampshire

Work Schedule: Full-time, 1st shift, M-F schedule

- A 9/80 work schedule during the spring/summer timeframe (a two-workweek schedule consisting of eight 9-hour days, one 8-hour day, and one scheduled day off). Then the schedule transitions to a standard Monday through Friday workweek, with timing adjusted based on business needs.

Job Summary

The Engineering Manager will define and execute engineering strategies that are aligned with global Admix corporate goals.

Provide leadership and oversight of engineering and product development teams both in the United States and Denmark. Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, education, and continuous professional improvement. Recruit, mentor, and retain engineering talent to build the best possible teams.

Create and manage budgets, timelines, vendors, and allocation of resources. Setting goals and objectives for the team while maintaining expectations and established project plans.

Duties and Responsibilities

New Product Development (NPD):

Oversee the development of new products as determined by our sales team and long term strategic planning.

Responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring good practice in Mechanical and electrical design, prototyping, testing, and validation of development products
  • Manage the NPD engineering group in accordance with established project scope, cost, and timeline.
  • Perform market research and collaborate with sales to develop product specifications based on the Voice of the Customer.
  • Determining project scope, timing, and cost estimates.
  • Develop a standardized approach to system design, including standardized accessories where feasible.
  • Ensure projects comply with contracts, international standards, regulations, and best practices
  • Creating an environment of innovation in every aspect of engineering development.

Production Engineering:

Oversee mechanical and electrical engineering design document creation to support operations.

Responsibilities include:

  • Understanding existing product lines, configurations, and options of existing products to support our sales team in applications.
  • Manage the development of B.O.M.'s, drawings, and documentation needed to support the manufacturing of existing product lines.
  • Ensure all sales orders flow through the engineering process in a timely manner. Establish guidelines and manage accordingly.
  • Maintain the configuration module in EPICOR ERP.
  • Maintain and store all Admix technical drawings, part numbers and documents including the Laserfiche electronic filing system.
  • Manage the Engineering Change Request and Engineering Change Notice process.
  • Work with Sales to determine the feasibility and cost of special customer requests.

Global Engineering Coordination:

  • Coordinate engineering activities, priorities, and project execution with Admix engineering counterparts in Denmark.
  • Promote consistent engineering standards, documentation practices, design approaches, and change-control processes across locations.
  • Facilitate regular communication, resource planning, technical reviews, and knowledge sharing between U.S. and Danish engineering teams.
  • Align cross-regional engineering work to support product development, production requirements, customer needs, and company priorities.
  • Identify and resolve gaps, risks, and dependencies affecting shared engineering deliverables and timelines.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Proficient in both 2D drafting and 3D CAD modeling.
  • Ability and willingness to mentor, teach, and support professional development of subordinates
  • Working knowledge of software relating to Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD)
  • Proficient in project management, and experience with utilizing project management tools
  • Must be available to work on-site
  • Must be able to travel both domestically and overseas
  • Extensive product development and capital equipment experience.
  • Solid grasp of automation, controls, and user interface.
  • Innovative mindset.
  • Ability to communicate with management staff and employees.
  • Mechanical aptitude and discipline

Credentials and Experience

  • BSME, BSMET, BSChE, BSEE, BSPE or similar technical degree required.
  • 10 years of experience in a mechanical manufacturing environment
  • Customer focus and awareness.
  • Ability to learn new tools, techniques (knowledge, software, etc.)
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Process oriented
