Join a fast-moving engineering team where you will design, secure and operate resilient data centre networks, solve complex production challenges and turn automation and AI ideas into practical operational capabilities. This role combines deep data centre networking expertise with the opportunity to codify infrastructure, reduce manual work and shape a more intelligent way of running the network.
- Design, build, and evolve high‑availability data centre networks, including leaf–spine fabrics, switching, routing, firewalls, load balancers, segmentation, and inter‑data‑centre connectivity.
- Engineer and operate scalable underlay and overlay networks using technologies such as Ethernet, VLAN, MLAG/vPC, OSPF, BGP, VXLAN, and EVPN.
- Personally operate mission‑critical network services in‑house, with direct responsibility for availability, capacity, performance, and reliability.
- Perform hands‑on troubleshooting across physical, switching, routing, security, and application‑delivery layers, restoring services and driving permanent fixes.
- Build and maintain automation using Network‑as‑Code practices to support provisioning, validation, compliance checks, testing, deployment, and drift detection.
- Use telemetry and observability data to proactively identify risks, optimise performance, and support future growth.
- Explore and apply automation, AI, and AIOps techniques (e.g. anomaly detection, predictive insights, AI‑assisted troubleshooting) to improve operational efficiency.
- Work closely with cloud, compute, storage, cybersecurity, and application teams to deliver secure, reliable connectivity.
- Evaluate new technologies and challenge vendor proposals, adopting solutions that can be effectively automated and operated in‑house.
