Full description

We are seeking an experienced IFS Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) Business Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business analysis and IFS Applications, particularly the EAM module. This individual will work closely with clients, business stakeholders, and technical teams to understand operational needs, evaluate business processes, and translate requirements into effective IFS solutions. This role requires a strong understanding of asset management practices, excellent analytical and communication skills, and the ability to support projects throughout the full implementation lifecycle. NOTE: This position requires access to technologies and hardware subject to U.S. national security-based export control requirements. All applicants must be U.S. Persons, as defined by 8 U.S.C. § 1324b(a)(3), or otherwise authorized by the U.S. Government. No company sponsorship is offered.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with clients and business stakeholders to gather, analyze, document, and validate business and functional requirements for IFS EAM solutions.
  • Facilitate discovery sessions, stakeholder interviews, process-mapping workshops, and requirements reviews.
  • Analyze current-state business processes and help define improved future-state processes.
  • Translate business needs into clear functional requirements, user stories, process flows, acceptance criteria, and system recommendations.
  • Support the implementation and optimization of IFS EAM solutions, ensuring alignment with client requirements and operational objectives.
  • Assist with the configuration of IFS EAM modules, workflows, and business rules.
  • Provide functional guidance related to asset management, preventive maintenance, work order management, equipment history, and related business processes.
  • Serve as a liaison between business stakeholders, functional consultants, developers, and other technical team members.
  • Support fit-gap analysis and help identify process, configuration, integration, reporting, and data requirements.
  • Assist with data validation, migration activities, integrations, and reporting requirements.
  • Develop test plans and test scenarios and coordinate or participate in system, integration, and user acceptance testing.
  • Document business processes, system configurations, procedures, training materials, and other project deliverables.
  • Deliver training and provide functional support to end users.
  • Investigate system and process issues, coordinate resolution, and support users following implementation.
  • Assist with change management and user adoption activities.
  • Stay current on IFS product developments, EAM capabilities, and industry practices to recommend process and system improvements.

Qualifications and Skills

Experience

  • Minimum of five years of experience in business analysis, ERP implementation, EAM, or a related functional role.
  • Experience working with IFS Applications, particularly the EAM module, is strongly preferred.
  • Experience supporting ERP projects through requirements gathering, configuration, testing, deployment, and post-implementation support.
  • Experience working directly with clients or business stakeholders in a consulting or project-based environment is preferred.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Engineering, Business, Operations Management, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.

Functional and Technical Skills

  • Strong understanding of enterprise asset management processes and practices.
  • Knowledge of preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, work order management, asset lifecycle management, equipment records, and related workflows.
  • Experience developing business requirements, functional specifications, process maps, user stories, test cases, and training materials.
  • Familiarity with IFS configurations, workflows, reporting, data migration, and integrations.
  • Experience with SQL, Crystal Reports, IFS data migration tools, or similar technologies is a plus.
  • Proficiency with standard business analysis and documentation tools.

Industry Knowledge

  • Experience in manufacturing, energy, utilities, aerospace and defense, maintenance and repair operations, or other asset-intensive industries is preferred.

Certifications

  • IFS certifications in EAM or related modules are a plus.
  • Business analysis certifications, such as CBAP, CCBA, or PMI-PBA, are also a plus.
