Senior Data Engineer

Ciklum is looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join our team full-time in Romania.

About the role:

As a Senior Data Engineer, become a part of a cross-functional development team engineering experiences of tomorrow.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain Snowflake data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes

• Write complex SQL queries, stored procedures, views and data transformations

• Implement incremental data loading using Snowpipe, Streams and Tasks

• Design data models and perform data validation and reconciliation

• Optimize query performance and troubleshoot production issues

• Apply data security controls, including role-based access control (RBAC)

Requirements:

• Hands-on Snowflake development experience (minimum 2 years)

• Advanced SQL, data warehousing and data modelling

• Strong ETL/ELT and data integration experience

• Working knowledge of Python and Git/version control

• Understanding of Snowflake performance tuning and production support

Desirable:

• 4–7 years of experience in data engineering or data warehousing, with a degree in Computer Science, IT or a related discipline

• Experience working in Agile teams is preferred

• Snowpark, dbt, Apache Airflow, Azure Data Factory / AWS Glue, cloud storage (Azure Data Lake / Amazon S3), and CI/CD
