Who are we looking for?
The candidate will be responsible for driving the growth of MacDermid Alpha’s portfolio of primary metallization (and related) products for PCB applications. The position will be called on to: effectively identify global and regional market needs, participate in product positioning, craft/communicate new product development needs, and participate actively in new product introduction. The position will support global Line of Business (LOB) strategies and will be a key participant in strategy development. The position also requires cultivation of existing/potential customer relationships as well as internal relationships with supply chain, marketing, commercial, and R&D functions.
What will you be doing?
- Support and assist in developing marketing strategies to include new product need, quantifying value in use, business case creation, project and product portfolio management and product pricing.
- Responsible for facilitating and obtaining Voice of Customer for respective LOB
- Apply a strong sense of urgency to meet the needs of customers.
- Work with the local and regional sales team to develop account strategies for products at key accounts, as well as participate in analysis of competitive activity. Support and augment commercial teams‘ engagement with customers through development of direct and value add relationships with customers and OEMs
- Apply analytical and technical marketing skill to quantify and characterize existing opportunity pipeline (via Atlas tool) as well develop insight on evolving market opportunity through external analysis.
- Work with the local and regional Sales Team, business development, Technical Service and R&D to develop and deliver internal technical roadmaps. Develop and demonstrate technical competence related to PCB manufacturing and chemistry.
- Work with marketing team to develop best in class messaging, marketing collateral, identification of and execution at appropriate tradeshows and technical conferences
- Work closely with internal partners in manufacturing, quality and R&D to address area’s for efficiencies, improvements and NPD.
- Assist in creating and verifying customer product specifications, ownership of product documentation creation/management (TDS’s, etc)
- Collaboration and knowledge sharing with other ESI businesses
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally. Common travel experiences: Trade/technical conferences, customer and OEM/T1 visits, and regional ESI/MA sites. An estimated 30-60% of the time is spent traveling.
Who are You?
- Strong preference for at least 5 years of industry experience (specialty chemicals/materials, electronics industry)
- Degree in Chemistry, Material Science, Metallurgy, Engineering or a relevant field. Advanced technical degree or MBA a plus.
- Excellent organization and management skills, combined with strong analytical discipline
