Salary range: 125-160 PLN/H

What will you do?

As a Senior Java Consultant, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining modern applications built on a microservices architecture. You will contribute across the entire software development lifecycle, support production systems, and work closely with engineering, QA, and business teams to deliver high-quality solutions. You will also help drive DevOps adoption, improve development processes, and mentor less experienced team members.

Your tasks

  • Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable Java code
  • Develop and maintain microservices-based applications using Java and Spring Boot
  • Contribute throughout all phases of the software development lifecycle
  • Adopt Agile and DevOps best practices
  • Implement test-driven development and collaborate closely with QA engineers
  • Improve development team velocity and software quality
  • Mentor junior team members and support knowledge sharing
  • Support production systems through monitoring, incident resolution, and problem management
  • Develop automation tools to improve operational support processes
  • Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions
  • Provide innovative solutions to complex technical challenges

Requirements

  • 4+ years of hands-on Java development experience
  • Experience designing and developing microservices using Java 17/21 and Spring Boot
  • Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL
  • Experience with DevSecOps pipelines
  • 3+ years of experience working in Agile and/or DevOps teams
  • Experience using TDD and JUnit
  • Experience creating integration and regression tests
  • Ability to work across the full software development lifecycle
  • Experience translating functional requirements into technical solutions
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Self-motivated approach and willingness to learn new technologies
  • Opennes to work hybrid from our client's office (Kraków) 6 days a month

Nice to have

  • Experience with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot
  • Knowledge of Spring Cloud components including Hystrix, Eureka, Zuul, Sleuth, Feign, and Ribbon
  • Experience developing distributed applications using Redis, Hazelcast, Oracle Coherence, or similar technologies
  • Experience building microservices with REST APIs and messaging solutions
  • Knowledge of automated deployment tools such as Ansible
  • Experience with Oracle databases
  • Experience with TypeScript, Angular, and HTML5
  • Cloud experience with GCP or AWS
  • Experience with messaging systems such as MQ or Solace
