Engineering Manager - 1796

Manages the engineering function of an organization, including duties associated with planning engineering programs, reviewing design and method recommendations, purchasing equipment, and ensuring that engineering activities align with organizational objectives.

Job Duties

· Administer operations in accordance with company's policies, priorities and budget constraints set forth by senior management

· Implement effective engineering methods and provide technical guidance and acts as a resource for engineers

· Ensure components, materials and tools are used to capacity

· Complete all necessary documents fully and accurately

· Adhere to 5S standards (e.g., maintain cleanliness of work area, etc.)

· Follow all Safety, Environmental and Quality policies and procedures

· Perform other duties as assigned

Experience and Education

· Comprehensive knowledge of the field's concepts and principles

· Perform complex tasks typically following established processes

· Lead and direct the work of other employees and has full authority for personnel decisions

· Primarily focused on administering established policies and procedures; may have some impact on departmental budgeting, strategic planning and procedural change

· Typically require a bachelor's degree and at least 6 years of experience
