• Engagement: W2 only (no C2C/1099)

• Hybrid opportunity based in Charlotte, North Carolina.

• Work on business-critical applications supporting investment banking and brokerage operations.

• Gain exposure to risk systems, market-data feeds, messaging platforms, APIs, and cloud technologies.

• Collaborate directly with both technical teams and business stakeholders across the organization.

• Long-term contract engagement spanning approximately 12 months.

How You Will Make An Impact

• Design, develop, test, maintain, and support software applications supporting brokerage and investment banking operations.

• Build and enhance applications primarily using Python and SQL, with exposure to C#/.NET.

• Develop and optimize complex SQL queries with an emphasis on performance, maintainability, and efficiency.

• Support risk systems, market-data feeds, and integrations between internal applications.

• Develop and maintain application integrations using messaging technologies and APIs.

• Partner with business users, business analysts, project managers, infrastructure engineers, database teams, and other development groups.

• Contribute to software architecture and system-design decisions for scalable and maintainable solutions.

• Manage development priorities across multiple initiatives and competing deadlines.

Requirements

Do You Bring Proven Success in Python Development for Brokerage Technology?

• 5–7 years of professional software development experience, ideally supporting brokerage or capital-markets environments.

• Hands-on development expertise with Python.

• Strong SQL development skills, including complex queries, query simplification, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.

• Experience developing solutions supporting front-, middle-, or back-office brokerage functions.

• Strong understanding of algorithms, software-development methodologies, and application architecture.

• Ability to independently analyze technical problems, evaluate alternatives, and make sound development decisions.

• Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with both technical and business audiences.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

• Collaborative approach, strong work ethic, and ability to build productive relationships with stakeholders and senior management.

• Experience with IBM MQ or comparable messaging technology is preferred.

• Experience developing or integrating REST and SOAP APIs is preferred.

• Exposure to AWS and/or Azure is preferred.

• C#/.NET development and broader system architecture experience are valuable additional qualifications.
