Shell Recharge Solutions is seeking a Senior Security Engineer II, responsible for security architecture, regulatory compliance, and enterprise security assurance across SRS platforms. Acts as the primary security engineering lead for designing secure systems, driving compliance initiatives (PCI DSS, ISO 27001), and coordinating with global SOC and engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Security Architecture & Design

  • Own end-to-end security architecture across SRS platforms and cloud environments
  • Define and review secure design patterns for applications, infrastructure, and integrations
  • Provide architecture guidance for EV charging systems (OCPP experience strongly preferred)
  • Conduct security design reviews for new and existing systems

Application & Platform Security

  • Lead secure application architecture reviews (APIs, backend services, cloud-native apps)
  • Partner with engineering teams to embed secure-by-design principles
  • Identify and remediate architecture-level risks and design weaknesses

Compliance & Audit Leadership

  • Serve as security lead for PCI DSS audits and reviews (including ROC/AOC support)
  • Support ISO 27001 controls, risk assessments, and Statements of Applicability
  • Provide audit evidence and documentation across global regions (e.g., SAQs, policies, controls)

Vulnerability & Risk Oversight (Architecture Lens)

  • Interpret and triage vulnerabilities from scans (e.g., Qualys/ASV reports)
  • Provide risk-based recommendations and remediation strategies
  • Review quarterly external vulnerability scans and ensure compliance with PCI requirements

Security Operations & Incident Response

  • Act as incident response point of contact for security escalations
  • Coordinate with parent company SOC teams on monitoring and threat response
  • Support investigation, containment, and remediation of security incidents

Cross-Team Collaboration

  • Partner with: • Global SOC and security teams
  • Engineering and platform teams
  • Compliance and audit stakeholders
  • Lead security project updates and reporting for leadership and committees

Security Governance & Reviews

  • Conduct network and infrastructure security reviews
  • Support periodic security assessments and risk register updates
  • Contribute to security roadmap and strategy planning

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong background in security architecture (cloud + application)
  • Hands-on experience with: • PCI DSS
  • ISO 27001
  • Familiarity with: • OCPP / EV charging ecosystem (nice-to-have, differentiator)
  • Experience interpreting: • Vulnerability scans (Qualys, ASV, Wiz, etc.)
  • Strong collaboration skills across global, distributed teams
