Overview
Are you passionate about environmental stewardship? As the Project Environmental Manager, you will develop, implement and monitor project site environmental conditions to comply with environmental agency regulations and mitigate potential environmental liabilities.
This position will support our Susquehanna River Rail Bridge project, a $1.7B mega project in Maryland. A Joint Venture between FlatironDragados and Herzog is set to replace the 3/4-mile-long, 117-year-old, two-track movable Susquehanna River Rail Bridge connecting Perryville and Havre de Grace.

What you will be doing
- Develops and monitors environmental procedures on construction sites. Implements and trains project work crews and management teams regarding potential environmental issues and procedures.
- Identifies, documents, and resolves environmental risks during daily site inspections. Documents findings, evaluations, and inspections using company-approved procedures and software.
- Advises project management on the proper interpretation and implementation of environmental regulations and specifications.
- Documents, analyzes, and reports environmental performance to internal and external clients and regulatory bodies.
- Advises construction teams on environmental hazards and procedures to minimize adverse effects.
- Performs impact assessments to identify, evaluate, and mitigate the project’s environmental risks and financial costs.
What we are looking for
- Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Engineering or a related field required.
- 5+ years environmental regulatory and compliance experience in the construction industry required.
- Expert knowledge of the local regulations or skill sets related to the specific work on project.
- Expert knowledge of compliance with environmental regulations and new legislation.
- Proven technical writing, documentation, and communication skills.
