Our team is expanding and looking to add a Development Project Manager. We are seeking a dynamic and driven candidate interested in joining a rapidly growing global automotive company.
The Development Project Manager will act as the primary liaison between the factory and its key clients. Additional responsibilities include:
- Lead and support the project team, effectively mobilize resources through project planning and Gate management, and efficiently manage cost risks to enable the factory to achieve successful mass production and delivery.
- Establish and maintain good relationships with customers, and delve into exchanges and cooperation regarding future technologies and business development.
- Effectively identify project risks, foster team collaboration to achieve flawless mass production, and reduce cost investments in factory operations during the initial mass production phase.
- Implement the annual operational targets and guiding policies of the project center, formulate team action plans and future development plans, prevent the recurrence of project issues, and ensure knowledge transfer between different levels.
- Assist GADC in securing new project contracts and achieving sustainable business growth.
To be a qualified candidate, you must have the following:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Automotive, Materials, or related field). An MBA, PMP, or Master's in Project Management is a strong plus.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in the automotive industry; for management positions, at least 3 years of experience as a business department manager or department head in the automotive components sector
- Proficient in the product development process for a specific customer segment;
- Master automotive industry-specific terminology;
- Familiar with the automotive industry quality system (TS16949);
- Acquainted with the manufacturing processes of automotive trim strips, decorative parts, and metal structural components;
- Knowledgeable about human resource management and financial management principles;
- Well-informed about industry trends and technological development directions.
Key to being successful in this role:
- Familiarity with APQP, PPAP, IATF 16949, capacity planning, and automotive quality tools.
- Strong project leadership, cross-functional coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Excel, or similar project-management tools; PMP certification is preferred.
