We are looking for an experienced Technical Delivery Manager with strong expertise in Identity and Access Management (IAM), Okta, and Customer Identity and Access Management (CIAM) to lead complex technology initiatives from planning through successful delivery.
The role combines technical leadership, delivery management, stakeholder engagement, and hands-on understanding of identity platforms and security architectures. The ideal candidate will be capable of managing multiple workstreams, driving engineering teams, resolving technical and delivery challenges, and ensuring solutions meet business, security, scalability, and compliance requirements.
Key Responsibilities• Lead end-to-end delivery of IAM and CIAM programs, from requirements and planning through implementation and production rollout.
- Manage technical delivery across Okta, IAM, and identity security initiatives.
- Work with architects and engineering teams to define scalable identity and access management solutions.
- Oversee implementation of SSO, MFA, federation, authentication, authorization, and identity lifecycle management capabilities.
- Drive Okta integrations with enterprise applications, APIs, directories, and customer-facing platforms.
- Coordinate CIAM initiatives focused on secure and seamless customer identity experiences.
- Translate business and security requirements into actionable technical delivery plans.
- Manage project scope, schedules, milestones, dependencies, risks, issues, and resource allocation.
- Lead cross-functional engineering and technology teams across multiple workstreams.
- Facilitate architecture discussions, technical reviews, design decisions, and implementation planning.
- Monitor delivery progress and proactively address technical, operational, and resource-related blockers.
- Partner with security and compliance teams to ensure identity solutions meet organizational security and governance standards.
- Establish delivery processes, engineering standards, documentation, and operational best practices.
- Coordinate testing, deployment, production readiness, and post-implementation activities.
- Communicate project status, risks, dependencies, and outcomes to senior stakeholders and leadership.
- Identify opportunities to improve IAM platforms, automation, operational efficiency, and overall identity security posture.
- Mentor technical teams and promote strong engineering, security, and delivery practices.
What Makes You a Great Fit• 10+ years of experience in technology delivery, engineering management, solution delivery, or a related technical leadership role.
- Strong hands-on understanding of Identity and Access Management (IAM) and enterprise identity architectures.
- Proven experience with Okta and Customer Identity and Access Management (CIAM) implementations.
- Strong knowledge of SSO, SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect, MFA, federation, authentication, authorization, and identity lifecycle management.
- Experience integrating identity platforms with enterprise applications, APIs, directories, and cloud environments.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity, access governance, identity security, and compliance principles.
- Proven experience managing complex technical programs involving multiple teams and stakeholders.
- Strong project planning, risk management, dependency management, and delivery governance skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with engineering teams, architects, security teams, business stakeholders, and senior leadership.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to navigate complex technical challenges.
- Experience working in Agile or other modern software delivery environments.
- Strong ownership, decision-making, stakeholder-management, and leadership capabilities.
- Ability to balance technical depth, delivery execution, business priorities, security, and user experience.
- Relevant IAM, Okta, cybersecurity, or cloud certifications would be an advantage.
