Title: UX Designer

Overview David Yurman is seeking a UX Designer with proven experience in delivering luxury ecommerce digital products that are both beautiful and functional. As the UX Designer, reporting to our Senior UX Designer, you will collaborate with the business, design, and development teams to deliver both interaction and visual designs, blending user needs and business vision. This role requires an ability to think about long term vision, while also delivering a keen attention to detail. • Consider the end-to-end ecommerce customer journey to ensure cohesive, intuitive experiences across discovery, product exploration, and checkout.
  • Partner with your manager to influence stakeholders across functions to gain support for design strategies.
  • Drive design solutions based on user insights, business needs, and industry trends that meet project goals. Consider scope and technical constraints when necessary.
  • Deliver beautiful mobile-first, responsive designs. Collaborate with visual designers to build an experience that adheres to DY Design Standards and brand guidelines.

  • Apply ADA accessibility and WCAG standards throughout the design process to ensure inclusive, accessible digital experiences across devices.
  • Support user research and usability testing to identify customer friction points and translate findings into actionable UX improvements.
  • Leverage customer behavior, site analytics, and performance KPIs to inform design decisions and evaluate the effectiveness of UX enhancements.
  • Independently execute UX user acceptance testing (UAT) to validate design accuracy, functionality, usability, and intended customer interactions. Partner with development and QA teams to identify and resolve issues prior to launch.
  • Maintain and update UX design system files, components, and documentation in Figma to ensure consistency across digital experiences.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in product design or UX experience designing within the luxury e-commerce space
  • Understanding of design systems, hierarchy, typography, visual design, responsiveness, accessibility, iconography, and interaction design
  • Strong proficiency in Figma, including auto layout, components, variants, prototyping, and design system management
  • Demonstrate curiosity, willingness to learn, and the ability to adapt to evolving processes, tools, and ways of working in a collaborative environment
  • Interest in exploring or prior knowledge working with AI tools to improve UX design process/workflows (i.e. ChatGPT, Figma AI, or similar) is a plus
