Description

Cloud Pivot Solutions is seeking a Mid-Senior Level Java Developer for a contract, on-site position based in Denver. This role offers the opportunity to design, build, and maintain robust Java-based applications that support our clients' digital transformation initiatives within the Information Technology sector.

As a Java Developer, you will work closely with architects, QA engineers, and project stakeholders to deliver reliable, scalable, and secure software solutions. You will contribute to the full software development lifecycle, from requirements analysis and design through implementation, testing, and deployment.

This contract position offers a competitive yearly compensation package in USD, along with the chance to work on challenging projects in a dynamic, cloud-focused environment.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain Java-based applications and services
  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications and solutions
  • Write clean, well-documented, and maintainable code following best practices
  • Build and integrate RESTful APIs and microservices
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical design discussions
  • Collaborate with QA teams to develop and execute unit and integration tests
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex application issues
  • Optimize application performance, scalability, and security
  • Support deployment and maintenance activities in cloud and on-premise environments
  • Stay current with Java ecosystem advancements and industry trends

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Java Developer at a mid-to-senior level
  • Strong proficiency in Core Java, object-oriented programming, and design patterns
  • Hands-on experience with Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data)
  • Experience developing and consuming RESTful web services
  • Familiarity with relational databases and SQL (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle)
  • Working knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
  • Experience with build tools (Maven or Gradle) and version control (Git)
  • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a contract capacity
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
