Position Summary:
The Senior Project Manager reports to the Senior Manager, IT & Security Portfolio Management and is responsible for leading medium to large, enterprise-wide projects assigned through the portfolio. This role leads the planning and execution of multiple projects through LifeLabs’ defined gating framework, using established project management processes, tools, and templates to deliver projects on time, within scope and budget, and with the intended business value.
The Senior Project Manager works across complex stakeholder environments, building alignment and securing buy-in through effective communication, influence, and proactive stakeholder engagement. The role also provides coaching and mentoring to Project Managers and supports the adoption of project management tools, processes, and best practices across the team.
This is a hybrid role based in Toronto, ON.

What You’ll Do:
- Lead the implementation of project deliverables, including scope, schedule, budget, procurement, quality, communication, and resource management.
- Plan and manage multiple concurrent cross-functional projects across various phases of delivery, balancing priorities, dependencies, and resources.
- Manage project financials and resource allocation, ensuring projects remain aligned with approved budgets and objectives.
- Build strong relationships with project sponsors, executives, and cross-functional partners, managing expectations and facilitating timely decision-making throughout the project lifecycle.
- Identify and manage project risks, changes, dependencies, and conflicts, implementing mitigation strategies and proactively addressing issues to minimize delays.
- Integrate change management practices into project delivery to support stakeholder readiness, adoption, and successful transition.
- Apply PMO methodologies, templates, and standards, including detailed project plans, project charters, and other required project artifacts.
- Provide timely and accurate reporting on project status, milestones, dependencies, financials, and open RAID log items.
- Lead project teams with clarity and confidence, fostering collaboration, accountability, and strong performance while coaching and mentoring team members.
- Support the adoption of project management tools and processes in alignment with guidance from the Center of Excellence (CoE).
- Adapt communication and engagement approaches to meet the needs of diverse stakeholders and support effective collaboration across the organization.
What You'll Bring:
- 7+ years of project management experience, ideally within a complex, enterprise environment.
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Formal project management training and PMP certification or an equivalent designation.
- Proven experience managing medium to large, cross-functional projects and teams.
- Experience managing 1–3 projects concurrently, with the ability to balance competing priorities and complex dependencies.
- Strong financial acumen, with experience managing project budgets and resources.
- Excellent facilitation, communication, stakeholder engagement, and change management skills.
- Strong ability to influence without authority, build alignment, and navigate differing perspectives and priorities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and PPM tools.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in ambiguous and complex environments while collaborating with diverse teams and stakeholders.

What We Offer:
Salary range: $96,255 – 122,727 CAD annually (commensurate with experience).
