Job Duties:

Crown Equipment is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead systems and software development for vehicle products. This role combines technical leadership, people management, and hands-on engineering support.

  • Lead and manage a systems and software engineering team (systems, software, electrical engineers, and technical leads)
  • Plan, resource, and supervise product development projects to meet quality, cost, and schedule goals
  • Provide technical guidance and contribute directly to engineering and design challenges as needed
  • Ensure designs meet product requirements and company/industry standards through reviews and testing
  • Champion new product development, emerging technologies, and continuous improvement
  • Collaborate with customers, sales, and cross-functional teams to deliver competitive, customer-focused solutions
  • Communicate project status, priorities, and expectations to leadership and stakeholders
  • Develop and mentor team members through performance management and talent development
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Project management and supervisory experience
  • Good communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to travel with overnight stays up to 5%
  • Reliable transportation for local travel between company sites

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with lift truck or vehicle systems, driver assistance, or vehicle dynamics
  • Hands-on mechanical, electrical, or automotive experience
  • Familiarity with embedded software tools and technologies (e.g., C/C++, Git, CAN tools, Python, Jira, Agile methods)
