- Identify and develop new business opportunities, building customer relationships from the ground up and promoting the company’s networking and cybersecurity solutions.
- Designing and presenting technical solutions, preparing proposals, solution architectures, and bills of materials.
- Responsibilities include customer meetings, technical presentations, product demonstrations, proof of concept support, responding to RFPs and RFQs, coordinating with vendors and internal teams, and providing pre-sales and limited post-sales technical support.
- Technical proposal writing, and creating architecture diagrams and bills of materials.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, computer science, information technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 2–5 years of experience in Network or Security Sales Engineering or a related technical role.
- Experience working with or for system integrators in networking or security is highly preferred.
- Strong networking knowledge including routing and switching, TCP/IP, VLANs, and network design for enterprise environments.
- Solid understanding of network security technologies such as firewalls, VPNs, IDS IPS, NAC, and secure remote access solutions.
- Strong pre-sales and sales engineering skills including opportunity qualification and responding to RFPs and RFQs.
- Relevant certifications such as CCNA CCNP, Network+, Security+, or vendor-specific networking.
