Full description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Product Designer based in the United States.

This is a hands-on contract opportunity for a senior product designer joining a digital product team during an accelerated roadmap period. You’ll help shape and deliver high-priority web, app, subscription, and growth experiences from concept through launch. The role combines strong UX and UI craft with practical product thinking, experimentation, and rapid iteration. You’ll work closely with product, engineering, and growth partners to turn defined opportunities into polished, production-ready experiences. Success will require balancing customer needs, business objectives, technical constraints, and delivery speed. The position is fully remote within the U.S., with a preference for candidates who can work during Eastern Time hours. The engagement is expected to last approximately 60–90 days at around 20 hours per week, with a potential but not guaranteed path to full-time employment.

Accountabilities

• Own UX and UI execution for active digital initiatives across web and mobile experiences, including landing pages, checkout, onboarding, account management, and subscription flows.

• Increase design capacity during a high-priority roadmap period, helping ensure key initiatives progress efficiently and maintain a high standard of quality.

• Translate product and growth opportunities into intuitive, polished, development-ready experiences that address customer and business needs.

• Create and rapidly iterate on concepts, user flows, prototypes, interaction designs, and A/B test variants in collaboration with product, engineering, and growth stakeholders.

• Leverage existing research, analytics, product context, and established design-system patterns to make informed design decisions and identify potential gaps or risks early.

• Produce high-quality visual and interaction design that remains consistent with established design standards and customer experience principles.

• Prepare production-ready Figma files, responsive states, interaction specifications, and clear handoff documentation for engineering teams.

• Participate in planning, design critiques, and delivery rituals while adapting priorities as roadmap requirements evolve.

• Partner with engineering throughout implementation, answer design questions, and support design QA to ensure the shipped experience matches the intended solution.

• Use AI-assisted design tools thoughtfully to accelerate exploration, prototyping, and design workflows while applying appropriate judgment around quality, confidentiality, and intellectual property.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional product design experience, including senior-level ownership of shipped digital products.

• Strong visual and interaction design capabilities, systems thinking, and proficiency with Figma and Adobe Creative Suite.

• Experience designing within DTC, subscription, e-commerce, growth, or conversion-focused product environments.

• Demonstrated ability to work quickly through ambiguity while balancing customer needs, business objectives, and technical constraints.

• Experience collaborating closely with product managers, engineers, and growth teams within structured product-development environments.

• Practical experience using AI-assisted design tools such as Claude, Figma Make, or comparable platforms to explore concepts, prototype interactions, and accelerate design execution.

• Sound judgment when evaluating AI-generated work and handling confidential information, third-party content, and intellectual property.

• Familiarity with tools and workflows such as Jira and established design systems.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to explain design decisions and incorporate feedback effectively.

• Availability to begin on or around October 1, 2026, and commit approximately 20 hours per week for a 60–90 day engagement.

• Ability to work during Eastern Time business hours; East Coast-based candidates are preferred, although U.S. location is otherwise flexible.

• Individual designers are encouraged to apply. Small studios may also be considered if a named senior designer is dedicated to the engagement.

• Interest in a potential transition to a full-time Senior Product Designer position following the contract is welcomed, although conversion is not guaranteed.

Benefits

• Remote contract position available to candidates across the United States.

• Approximately 20 hours per week for an initial 60–90 day engagement.

• Opportunity to work directly with product, engineering, and growth teams on high-impact digital initiatives.

• Potential opportunity to transition into a full-time Senior Product Designer role after the contract, subject to business needs and performance.

• Exposure to a fast-paced product environment with opportunities to influence web, mobile, subscription, and growth experiences.

• Collaborative design culture emphasizing strong craft, continuous improvement, diverse perspectives, and meaningful feedback.

• Opportunity to incorporate modern AI-assisted design tools into day-to-day product development workflows.

• Equal opportunity workplace committed to inclusion, accessibility, and a diverse range of backgrounds and perspectives.
