Role Overview We are seeking an experienced Systems Analyst to support the implementation of PeopleSoft FSCM 9.2, with a focus on the Accounts Receivable and Billing modules. This role involves gathering and documenting business requirements, conducting fit-gap analysis, mapping data between legacy and third-party interface systems, and supporting end-to-end testing efforts. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator who can work effectively within a large, distributed team supporting a public sector technology initiative.
Key Responsibilities
Requirements & Business Analysis
- Analyze user requirements, current procedures, and business problems to identify opportunities to automate or improve existing systems.
- Confer with business and technical stakeholders to define input/output requirements, data formats, and reporting needs.
- Write detailed documentation of user needs, program functions, and steps required to develop or modify system functionality.
- Conduct fit-gap analysis with subject matter experts to align business needs with system capabilities.
PeopleSoft FSCM Implementation
- Support implementation of PeopleSoft FSCM 9.2 Accounts Receivable and Billing modules.
- Map data between legacy systems and third-party interface systems.
- Evaluate system capabilities, specifications, and scheduling constraints to determine feasibility of requested changes.
Testing & Integration
- Perform hands-on, end-to-end system integration testing with third-party interfaces.
- Support functional and regression testing activities throughout the project lifecycle.
Documentation & Training Support
- Prepare clear, detailed documentation of processes, requirements, and system changes.
- Support training efforts and knowledge transfer for end users.
Collaboration & Communication
- Work effectively with a large, remote, cross-functional team.
- Communicate clearly with both technical and business stakeholders.
- Participate in team collaboration tools and meetings to ensure alignment on project goals.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience as a business/systems analyst working with PeopleSoft FSCM 9.2.
- 8+ years of experience specifically with Accounts Receivable and Billing module implementations.
- 8+ years of experience gathering requirements and conducting fit-gap analysis with subject matter experts.
- 8+ years of experience performing hands-on, end-to-end system integration testing with third-party interfaces.
- At least 4 years of experience with Microsoft O365 applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).
- At least 2 years of experience using Microsoft Teams in a large team setting.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and effectively within a large remote team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with a public sector organization (federal, state, or local government).
- Experience with state government financial systems (e.g., CAPPS Financials or similar platforms).
- Experience with PeopleSoft Approval Workflow Engine (AWE).
- Experience with SharePoint.
- Experience with Jira.
- Experience working within a Scrum framework.
- Experience with STAT (software change management tool).
