Commercial Project Manager

Cleveland Construction is looking to add a Commercial Project Manager to its Mentor, OH location, to serve as the primary project planner for high profile commercial construction projects across the US. This role requires minimal travel to the job sites to drive productivity and accuracy throughout the project.

Key Job Functions

  • Create realistic project timelines, track milestones, and manage the critical path from pre-construction to closeout.
  • Oversee project costs, manage subcontractor bids, process pay applications, and prevent budget overages.
  • Negotiate and draft contracts with general contractors, architects, engineers, and suppliers.
  • Secure necessary local building licenses and ensure strict adherence to safety regulations and building codes.
  • Act as the primary contact for clients, reporting progress updates and resolving site issues immediately.

What You Need

  • 10+ years’ experience as a GC Commercial Construction Project Manager
  • Degree in Construction Management, civil engineering, or other related field preferred.
  • Ability to read blueprints, understand mechanical and electrical systems, and use project scheduling or CAD software
  • Strong leadership, budget tracking, negotiation, and risk-management abilities
