Job Description:
Hitachi Rail is looking for a Principal Project RAMS Manager who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate is comfortable performing a wide range of tasks from administrative to strategic. The position is based in Brisbane, Australia.
Key Accountabilities:
- Manage RAMS and V&V activities for complex projects, ensuring they align with project budgets, schedules, and quality standards. Ensure compliance with system safety and reliability requirements.
- Oversee RAMS project staffing and documentation issuance.
- Ensure the safety assessment (ISA) certification (NoBo).
- Monitor workloads, align RAMS schedules with project timelines, and proactively manage risks to prevent issues.
- Contribute to training, process improvement and support bid preparation while upholding safety standards.
Required Skills / Knowledge:
- Engineering Degree or equivalent.
- Safety analysis (e.g., FMEA, HAZOP), Safety Case development, Safety Plan creation.
- Application of safety standards (e.g., EN50126, EN50128, EN50129, IEC 61508).
Required Experience:
- At least ten years of experience in signalling or another safety critical engineering area.
- At least ten years of RAMS experience in the use of appropriate safety engineering techniques, such as PHA, FTA, FMEA etc.
