POSITION SUMMARY

The Salesforce Developer builds and maintains solutions for a Salesforce Center of Innovation. You will take enhancement requests and defects from analysis through design, build, test, and deployment, working independently on most assignments and partnering with senior developers on the largest changes.

You will also help keep a large enterprise org healthy by isolating root causes on difficult defects across code, configuration, and integrations.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Build

  • Configure and develop Salesforce solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components, Flows, and declarative configuration.
  • Build and maintain integrations with external systems using REST and SOAP APIs and platform events.
  • Implement changes to the data model, including objects, fields, relationships, and sharing and permission structures.

Design and Quality

  • Analyze enhancement requests and defects, then implement, test, document, and deploy through approved DevSecOps processes.
  • Write and maintain unit tests and follow Salesforce best practices around governor limits, security, and maintainability.
  • Move work through source control and CI/CD pipelines using Git, Salesforce CLI, and scratch orgs.
  • Work across sandbox environments and support release readiness through Salesforce's three annual releases.

Solve

  • Troubleshoot application, configuration, access, integration, and code issues and document findings for the application teams.
  • Isolate root causes on complex defects and write root cause analysis for critical issues, including the corrective and preventive actions.
  • Escalate to Salesforce Support when a platform issue needs to be pushed upstream.

Collaborate

  • Partner with product owners, administrators, and security teams in an Agile delivery cadence.
  • Contribute to code reviews and share knowledge with junior developers.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 5 years of relevant technical experience, including hands-on Salesforce development.
  • Salesforce Certified Administrator.
  • Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a government background investigation.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Salesforce Certified Platform Developer II.
  • Salesforce Certified Advanced Administrator.
  • Experience with Salesforce Government Cloud or other FedRAMP environments.
  • Working familiarity with Salesforce CLI, VS Code with Salesforce extensions, Developer Console, and scratch orgs.
  • GitLab and DevSecOps pipeline experience.
  • ServiceNow or a comparable IT service management platform, plus Jira and Confluence.
  • Prior federal or public sector delivery experience.

PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS

The team operates against contract service levels for acknowledgement, resolution, root cause analysis, and security incident response. Specific targets are reviewed during onboarding.

WORK LOCATION
