Benefits
Full description
Banking hasn't changed much in decades. We're changing that. One product at a time.
Lunar is a Nordic challenger bank building the future of financial life with AI at the core. Our engineers, designers, and product people work on problems that actually matter. Making money simpler, smarter, and more rewarding for millions of people across the Nordics. Fully licensed and founded in 2015, with offices in Copenhagen, Aarhus and Stockholm. We move fast, we build with purpose, and we're just getting started.
As our new Data Analyst, you'll join the Financial Crime Prevention (FCP) team based in Copenhagen, reporting to the VP of Financial Crime Prevention and Lunar's MLRO, working to build and scale the data foundation that powers Lunar's fight against financial crime.
Financial Crime Prevention is a growing function at Lunar, and demand for data and insights across the department is increasing. You'll start by taking ownership of our dbt project (2,000+ models, structured in layers from raw events through business logic to a BI layer) and our Looker instance, building strong fluency in our data models and BI setup. From there, you'll take on a growing share of the analytical and reporting needs across FCP, and over time, move into more strategic work, including regulatory reporting and partnering with FCP leadership on key decisions. Financial crime domain knowledge is an advantage, not a requirement — we'll teach you what you need to know.
What will you do?
- Own and maintain our dbt project (2,000+ models) and Looker instance, keeping our data foundation reliable and well-structured
- Handle data requests, dashboards, and analytical questions from across Financial Crime Prevention
- Partner directly with team leads across Fraud, Transaction Monitoring, CDD, and Onboarding to support their teams' analytics needs
- Grow into supporting FCP leadership and contributing to regulatory reporting, where your outputs feed board and regulatory submissions
- Use AI tools as leverage across your workload, and communicate findings clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders, including senior leadership
What are we looking for in you?
- Strong SQL and real, hands-on dbt experience — models, refs, tests, incremental logic, layered project structures — in a large, business-logic-heavy warehouse
- Comfortable working through Git/GitHub (branching, pull requests, code review), and experience with a BI tool such as Looker, Power BI, Tableau, or Metabase
- Genuine, hands-on fluency with AI tools as part of your daily workflow
- Independence: you can take an ambiguous request, resolve it yourself, and deliver an accurate answer without being checked line by line
- Comfortable presenting to and defending your analysis in front of senior stakeholders, with a strong instinct for sanity-checking your own numbers before they feed regulatory submissions and executive decisions
Benefits and perks
- 4 days in the office. We're a team that builds together, thinks together, and moves together. Showing up is part of how we work.
- State of the art equipment. The newest computer, monitor, mouse, and keyboard. We want you to do your best work without anything slowing you down.
- Pension, health insurance, and enhanced parental leave. From your financial future to your family moments. We've got you covered.
