Full description

One of Nordic Investin’s partner companies is looking for a Construction and Facility Project Manager, with Nordic Investin leading the recruitment process. You keep safety, operations, contractors and cost aligned while a physical environment is changing around them.

The partner is delivering a facility upgrade in an active operational setting. You will manage design, permits, procurement, construction and handover while protecting business continuity and ensuring that responsibilities are clear across internal and external parties.

Projects are judged by operational outcomes, benefit ownership and the quality of decisions made along the way. Governance should create clarity and momentum while making risk visible early enough for meaningful action.

How you will work

You will create a practical delivery rhythm across workstreams with different owners and incentives. The partner expects concise preparation, explicit dependencies and decisions recorded clearly enough to survive handovers. Escalation should bring options and consequences, not only a problem statement.

As a senior colleague, you will own substantial outcomes and help others make stronger decisions. You are expected to recognise risk early, communicate it without drama and move work forward with practical alternatives. Seniority here means broader judgement and follow through, not distance from delivery.

What you will do

  • Develop the project plan, budget and delivery governance.
  • Coordinate design, technical disciplines and operational requirements.
  • Manage contractors, procurement and commercial follow up.
  • Control safety, quality, schedule and change requests.
  • Plan shutdowns, access and business continuity measures.
  • Lead commissioning, documentation and operational handover.

What you will bring

  • Experience leading facility, construction or installation projects.
  • Strong schedule, cost and contractor management capability.
  • Understanding of safety and regulatory responsibilities.
  • Ability to coordinate technical and operational stakeholders.
  • Structured risk, change and documentation practices.
  • Professional Swedish and English.

Experience that would add value

  • Industrial, laboratory or logistics facilities.
  • Contract standards and commercial claims handling.
  • Energy efficiency or sustainability projects.

A background that can succeed here

You may come from construction management, engineering, property development or technical operations. The partner values leaders who spend enough time close to the work to see emerging risk while maintaining disciplined reporting and decision control.

What makes the opportunity interesting

The project has tangible outcomes and a clear route from plan to functioning facility. You will have broad ownership, experienced technical counterparts and the opportunity to leave an environment that works better for the people using it.

The exact partner, employment model, compensation, start date and working arrangement will be explained openly during the process. Nordic Investin will make sure you understand the context, expectations and decision path before you are asked to commit significant time.

The recruitment conversation

During the process, Nordic Investin will focus on concrete decisions you have made: the context you received, the alternatives you considered, the result you observed and what you would change today. You do not need every optional credential if your core experience transfers and you can explain how you would close the gap.

How to apply

Apply with your CV or LinkedIn profile and a short note describing the most relevant organisation, service, project or financial process you have helped improve. Nordic Investin welcomes candidates with different routes into the profession and assesses applicants on relevant capability, judgement and potential.
