Devops Engineer - Cloud

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Devops Engineer - Cloud based in Brazil.

This is a senior-level DevOps opportunity focused on modernizing and scaling cloud infrastructure in a fast-evolving technology environment. You will lead the migration of workloads from AWS to Azure, with an AKS-first approach to building modern cloud architectures. The role combines cloud engineering, Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, containerization, and platform modernization. You will play a key part in improving deployment workflows, reliability, scalability, security, and operational efficiency. The position requires close collaboration with engineering teams and ownership of complex migration initiatives from planning through execution. You will also establish reusable infrastructure patterns, documentation, and standards that can accelerate future cloud projects. The role is remote and requires working hours aligned with the Central Time (CT) zone.

Accountabilities:

• Lead the migration of cloud workloads from AWS to Azure, using an Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)-first approach.

• Design, implement, and maintain robust Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions for Azure environments.

• Migrate, optimize, and standardize CI/CD pipelines to improve deployment consistency and efficiency.

• Modernize legacy infrastructure by refactoring workloads into cloud-native Azure architectures.

• Develop migration strategies that minimize disruption, including downtime planning, rollback procedures, and risk mitigation.

• Continuously optimize cloud environments for cost, performance, reliability, scalability, and operational efficiency.

• Partner with engineering teams to modernize deployment workflows and improve cloud development practices.

• Document migration patterns, architectural decisions, and reusable infrastructure templates for broader adoption.

• Contribute to cloud security, compliance, infrastructure consolidation, and platform engineering initiatives.

Requirements:

• 7+ years of dedicated professional experience in DevOps and Cloud Engineering.

• Strong hands-on expertise with Microsoft Azure, particularly AKS, networking, IAM, and cloud monitoring.

• Strong hands-on experience with AWS, including EC2, EKS, IAM, and networking.

• Proven experience designing and implementing Infrastructure as Code, with Terraform strongly preferred.

• Practical experience with CI/CD platforms such as GitHub Actions and Jenkins.

• Demonstrated experience executing real-world, large-scale cloud migrations, preferably involving AWS-to-Azure transitions.

• Strong understanding of containerization technologies, particularly Docker and Kubernetes.

• Ability to design scalable, reliable, secure, and cost-efficient cloud environments.

• Strong problem-solving and risk-management skills, with the ability to anticipate migration challenges and develop effective mitigation strategies.

• Excellent collaboration and communication skills for working with engineering and cross-functional teams.

• Experience with multi-cloud strategies, infrastructure consolidation, and modern platform engineering concepts is a plus.

• Knowledge of cloud cost-optimization strategies and tools, security, and compliance is desirable.

• Availability to work hours aligned with the Central Time (CT) zone.
