What You’ll Be Part Of
This position would lead AMP development core team focus on project management. The position could be managing 2-5 projects simultaneously.
How You’ll Make An Impact
- Act as a core team member in Team1 with Customer Program Manager, Sales, Customer Quality and Industrialization Project Manager for development and launch of a compelling product that meets customer requirements and promotes customer satisfaction.
- Lead Team 2 including HW, SW, ME, system, HW/ME SME, SW test, SW architect, SW SME, system validation, ASE, product sourcing, HW development quality, SW development quality, product reliability engineer and other functional domains to release AMP design on time with high quality throughout the PLM lifecycle.
- General engineering interface to customers as Car Audio AMP team representation, involve SME to discuss and review the specific engineering topics with customers.
- Responsible for AMP technical tradeoffs negotiation with internal & external stakeholders.
- Define tasks by cross-functional team to create the work breakdown structure to establish overall development plan (schedule, cost and resource).
- Defines required activities, priorities and dependency to be executed by the project team.
- Manager and monitor the development status (cost, schedule, scope, quality).
- Carries out issues and risk management in the project and keeps track of the actions.
- Regularly reports the project status to direct manager and stakeholders.
- Implement and review engineering high-level designs with global cross-functional teams.
- Participates in internal and customer driven design/issues/tickets reviews or meetings.
- Develops and executes projects based on Car Audio AMP engineering process.
- Foster positive environment to create high-achieving project team.
- Ensure prompt decision-making executed by promoting consensus decisions.
- Negotiate resource allocations with solutions from functional managers.
- Identify program issues as early as possible and drive resolution at the team level. If resolutions require management intervention, escalate to appropriate management personnel with proposed alternatives.
What Makes You A Strong Fit
- Bachelor’s degree in electronics, embedded programs, software engineering, computer science or other related engineering field.
- 5~8 years (or above) of automotive product development experience. 3+ years of embedded software development experience, 2+ years of software project management experience. Solid knowledge and rich programming experience of C/C++ language.
- Familiar with automotive V-model, and software engineering process including requirement, design, coding and testing. Familiar with software process standard, such as CMMI, Automotive SPICE, Agile, etc.
- Strong knowledge and experience of MCU/CAN/UDS/AUTOSAR/Embedded OS.
- Effective interpersonal skills with peers, leaders, global teams, and industry forums.
- Desire to maintain skills and master new technologies.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
