Manager / Senior Manager – Software Engineering, Banking (m/f/x)

Shape technology transformation in banking!

Would you like to combine software engineering expertise with team leadership, client advisory and business development? In this role, you guide complex banking technology programmes, shape sustainable architectures and create an environment in which interdisciplinary teams can deliver strong outcomes.

 

Your responsibilities:

• Lead software engineering and technology-transformation programmes for banking clients from solution design to production readiness.

• Shape scalable architectures using Java, Spring Boot, React, APIs, microservices and cloud technologies.

• Guide interdisciplinary engineering teams and support collaboration, capability building and professional development.

• Manage delivery quality, resources, budgets, risks and stakeholder expectations transparently.

• Strengthen Agile, DevOps, CI/CD, security and software-quality practices across programmes.

• Act as a trusted technology advisor and contribute to proposals, account development and the growth of our Banking Technology offering.

What you bring:

• Several years of experience in software engineering, technology consulting and the delivery of complex IT programmes.

• A strong background in Java, Spring Boot, enterprise application development and modern distributed architectures.

• Experience with cloud platforms, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD and DevOps practices.

• Experience guiding engineering teams and managing delivery, financials, resources and senior stakeholders.

• Knowledge of banking technology; experience in core banking, payments, lending or digital channels is welcome.

• Clear, inclusive leadership and communication skills, together with fluent English; German is an advantage.

Your individual performance and experience are reflected in your compensation. The monthly gross salary for this position starts at EUR 5,000. Depending on your qualifications and professional experience, we are happy to offer a higher salary.
