This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Staff Product Designer, Presence based in United States.

This is a strategic, systems-oriented design role focused on shaping foundational experiences across a large-scale consumer platform.You’ll define how identity, profiles, communities, and discovery connect as new product experiences emerge.The role combines strong interaction design and information architecture with product strategy and systems thinking.You’ll turn ambiguous opportunities into scalable frameworks, reusable patterns, and compelling user experiences.Working closely with Product, Engineering, Research, Content Design, and senior leaders, you’ll influence decisions across product boundaries.You’ll also use AI-assisted design and coding tools to prototype ideas quickly and make complex concepts tangible.As a Staff-level designer, you’ll raise the bar for design craft while mentoring others and helping shape a more AI-native design practice.

Accountabilities

  • Define UX strategy and experience architecture across multiple initiatives, establishing cohesive foundations that can scale across the product ecosystem.
  • Shape foundational experiences related to identity, profiles, community representation, professional experiences, discovery, and emerging product areas.
  • Translate ambiguous opportunities and complex problems into clear product direction, scalable frameworks, reusable UX patterns, and high-quality experiences.
  • Create functional prototypes using AI-assisted design and coding tools to explore concepts, communicate ideas, accelerate decision-making, and reduce uncertainty.
  • Partner with Product, Engineering, Research, Content Design, and senior leadership to influence product strategy and align teams around shared principles and long-term goals.
  • Facilitate cross-functional decision-making by clarifying trade-offs, connecting initiatives, and establishing a coherent vision across product boundaries.
  • Champion exceptional interaction design, information architecture, accessibility, and scalable design systems and patterns.
  • Mentor designers and contribute to the evolution of design practices, systems thinking, product craft, and AI-native ways of working.

Requirements

  • 8–10+ years of product design experience, including significant experience working on complex, cross-functional initiatives within consumer technology.
  • Demonstrated expertise in systems thinking and experience designing platform-level, foundational, or highly reusable product experiences.
  • Exceptional skills in interaction design, information architecture, product strategy, and translating complex problems into intuitive experiences.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity effectively while balancing long-term product vision with practical near-term execution.
  • Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders, align cross-functional teams, and drive decisions without relying on direct authority.
  • Strong storytelling, facilitation, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to articulate design rationale and build alignment.
  • Experience using AI-assisted design or coding tools to prototype, explore, iterate, and communicate product concepts.
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating Staff-level design thinking, excellent craft, systems-level problem solving, and measurable product or organizational impact.
  • Ability to mentor other designers and contribute to a culture of continuous learning, thoughtful critique, and high design standards.
