As a Senior Business Analyst, you will play a central role in delivering and enhancing the products that support CFA Institute's global membership. You'll work closely with Product Managers to translate business needs into detailed functional requirements, ensuring development teams have the clarity they need to deliver high-quality solutions.

You'll help shape the future of our membership products while improving business processes, solving complex problems and supporting initiatives that have organisation-wide impact.

What You'll Do

  • Partner with Product Managers, Membership teams and Technology teams to understand business needs and translate them into detailed functional requirements.
  • Lead business analysis activities across multiple initiatives, mapping processes, identifying capability gaps and recommending practical improvements.
  • Create high-quality user stories, acceptance criteria, business rules and supporting documentation for development teams.
  • Investigate complex business scenarios and work through detailed rules, dependencies and edge cases to ensure successful product delivery.
  • Collaborate with developers, designers and stakeholders throughout the product lifecycle to clarify requirements and support implementation.
  • Analyse existing systems and processes to identify opportunities for automation, efficiency and continuous improvement.
  • Support roadmap planning, business case development, product rollouts, user communications and operational support.
  • Explore opportunities to leverage AI tools to improve productivity, quality and delivery outcomes.

What We're Looking For

  • Demonstrable experience working as a Business Analyst, Product Owner or in a similar business analysis role within technology or digital product environments.
  • Strong experience gathering, documenting and translating business requirements into detailed functional specifications, user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Proven ability to work closely with cross-functional teams, particularly Product Management and software development teams.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to work through complex business rules, dependencies and process improvements.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to anticipate downstream impacts and edge cases before solutions are implemented.
  • Confidence to challenge assumptions, influence stakeholders and clearly explain recommendations using evidence and sound reasoning.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to a range of audiences.
  • Comfortable working in a collaborative, remote, global environment.

Expected salary range: US - $92,500 - $123,000 per year

Actual salary within the stated range will depend on the individual's experience, qualifications, skills, location, and other job-related factors. Additional benefits include eligibility for an annual discretionary incentive bonus, a 12% employer contribution to a pension plan, and a comprehensive medical benefits package.
