Security Project Manager 

Full-Time, Day Shift 

Security Services 

 

The Security Services Unit in a hospital setting is dedicated to maintaining a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors, staff, and assets. This unit operates 24/7 and is integral to ensure the hospital functions smoothly while addressing emergencies, preventing unauthorized access, and responding to incidents swiftly and effectively. 

 

The Project Manager manages high impact physical security systems design, operation and maintenance. Oversees the installation and configuration of security systems and assists with selecting products for all facility/market projects. 

 

Job Description: 

  • Works with facility/market personnel, vendors, architects, contractors, construction and others under the auspices of the Security Director. 
  • Is responsible for the installation, programming, operation, and maintenance for all aspects of the facility’s/market’s physical security systems. 
  • Manages the installation, programming, and maintenance of all physical security systems, to include but not limited to access control systems, security video systems, intrusion detection systems, visitor management systems, and other asset protection systems. 
  • Collaborates with the Security Director and other team members to design and implement new physical security systems. 
  • Integrates required systems into the security command center with appropriate sensitivity and consideration given to human factors of engineering and workflow. 
  • Oversees periodic maintenance and testing of installed systems to ensure proper installation, integration, and operation. 
  • Actively partners with security personnel to ensure physical security systems are best integrated into operations. Educates Security/Facility Staff on use of systems technology. 
  • Develops and maintains security systems documentation for hardware and software systems. 
  • Manages upgrades to existing systems, and support new projects as required. 
  • Provides training and direct oversight to the Security Systems Analyst in performance of duties. 
  • Conducts investigations/assists other members of the security team with technology related aspects of investigations. 

 

Job Requirements: 

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent 
  • Valid Drivers Lic (no violations for 2 years) 
  • Basic, Advanced and Supervisory Healthcare Security officer with International Association of Healthcare Security and Safety required within a year.  
  • Ability to successfully achieve Taser X-26 certification, baton and hand-cuff training.
