- Why this role exists We run one of the most specialised wholesale-credit delivery capabilities in the industry an end to-end commercial lending and credit modernisation engagement spanning Large Corporate Underwriting, Wholesale Credit Delivery, Portfolio Management, Monitoring, Fulfilment and Servicing. The CL7 seat sits closest to the work. It exists because credit quality is decided file by filein the review
- Conduct detailed research on the financial history of businesses to determine their creditworthiness.
- Assess the risk parameters of the loan, borrower, and industry including the Financial performance of the borrower and guarantor, assessing the repayment capacity and recommending the future course of action in approving declining counter offer of business loans.
What are we looking for? • 4.1 Experience profile • 15+ years of experience in banking and financial services, with at least 5 years leading underwriting or credit analysis teams. • Preference for candidates who have operated within a GCC Global Capability Centre or Managed Business Services model, serving global North American banking clients offshore delivery discipline, onshoreoffshore working rhythm and client-embedded ways of working. • Hands-on underwriting background; recent, demonstrable file-level experience rather than purely supervisory exposure. • Experience supporting transitions, knowledge transfer Roles and Responsibilities: • Role purpose To lead the Large Corporate Underwriting team and own the credit quality, throughput and capability of everything it produces reviewing files, challenging analysis, coaching underwriters, engaging client credit partners and holding the line on standards case by case. The role operates within the framework, operating model and delegated authority set by the CL6 Delivery Lead Senior Manager, escalating the genuinely hard calls and the risks that cannot be resolved at function level.
- Direct the development of forecast models including cash-flow projections under expected, downside and management cases over a five- to seven-year horizon, and stress-test the conclusions. • Review enterprise valuation models determining total company value across equity and debt components. • Evaluate business models
- strengths, weaknesses, risks, revenue structure and corporate organisationand ensure the credit narrative reflects them honestly. • Assess risk parameters across borrower, guarantor, facility and industry; evaluate repayment capacity and recommend approval, decline or counteroffer within delegated authority. • Escalate to the CL6 lead promptly where a call sits outside delegated authority, where capacity is at risk, or where a client position needs senior arbitration
