Responsibilities:

  • Document business and functional requirements, business rules, user stories, and epics.
  • Analyze business processes, functions, and procedures across multiple business units.
  • Understand and document data requirements for banking products and assess downstream impacts.
  • Create documentation outlining data lineage and support the development of a data governance framework.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for banking product data.
  • Support data consumers and development teams by conducting data research and analysis.
  • Collaborate with developers to document the existing application infrastructure and architecture.
  • Support QA and testing activities by reviewing and refining test plans and creating detailed test cases.
  • Assist in responding to audit queries related to business processes and IT implementation.
  • Identify and resolve issues arising during projects or day-to-day business operations.
  • Proactively manage scope changes, identify risks, and develop contingency plans.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with IT teams and business stakeholders.
  • Lead business requirements activities from elicitation through process mapping and solution proposal.
  • Conduct scope estimation and impact analysis in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Create, maintain, and groom the product backlog.
  • Write user stories and define acceptance criteria.
  • Facilitate Joint Application Development (JAD) sessions with business stakeholders, architects, and technical teams.
  • Identify integration points, dependencies, and risks to support smooth delivery.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or Product Owner in a large, complex banking organization or major consulting firm.
  • 5+ years of experience working within Agile Scrum or Kanban environments.
  • 3+ years of experience documenting business and functional requirements, business rules, user stories, and epics for REST-based banking API platforms.
  • Strong understanding of Spring, databases, database interface layers, and Java development tools.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to translate business needs into functional and operational requirements.
  • Experience analyzing and documenting complex end-to-end business processes and systems.
  • Solid understanding of technology environments, including platforms, applications, databases, and system architecture.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Proficiency with MS Visio, Word, and PowerPoint.

Advantages:

  • Experience with UNIX and scripting languages.
  • Knowledge of Hadoop ecosystem technologies such as HDFS, Hive, Impala, Pig, Spark, and Hadoop.
  • Experience with Scala, Spark, or PySpark.
  • Familiarity with Kafka, MQ, or other streaming platforms.
  • Basic knowledge of JavaScript, CSS, HTML, or Angular.
  • Understanding of financial markets, banking, and wealth management.
  • Experience collaborating with global teams across different geographies and time zones.
  • Familiarity with JIRA or other ALM tools.
  • Previous experience in the Financial Services industry.
