About the Role

The Fund Event Team plays a central role in supporting the continued growth of our business, acting as a key coordination point between clients, external service providers and internal operational teams throughout complex fund lifecycle events.

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Fund Migration Project Manager with a strong track record of delivering large-scale and complex programmes, ideally within the financial services or asset servicing industry. The successful candidate will bring specific expertise in fund migrations, conversions, launches, mergers and other fund lifecycle events.

This is a dynamic, high-impact and client-facing role, providing exposure to new products, regulatory change, operating model transformation and evolving client requirements.

Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Fund Migration Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading and delivering complex fund migration programmes from initiation through to post-migration stabilisation.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Lead end-to-end fund migration programmes, from initial scoping and planning through execution, conversion, operational readiness, go-live and post-migration stabilisation.
  • Act as the primary project contact for clients, fund management companies, custodians, transfer agents, administrators, portfolio managers, brokers and internal stakeholders, ensuring clear communication, effective decision-making and timely escalation throughout the migration lifecycle.
  • Define and maintain comprehensive project plans, migration roadmaps, wave plans, RAID logs, dependency trackers, runbooks, stakeholder maps, governance materials and status reporting dashboards.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams across fund administration, transfer agency, custody, middle office, fund accounting, client service, legal, compliance, technology and operations, ensuring delivery against agreed scope, timelines, budget and quality standards.
  • Oversee critical migration activities, including:
  • Data readiness and validation
  • File delivery and data transfer
  • Reconciliations
  • Operating model design
  • Service model changes
  • Testing and defect management
  • Cutover planning
  • Go-live and operational readiness
  • Proactively identify, assess, manage and escalate risks, issues and dependencies relating to data quality, system functionality, resource availability, client dependencies, regulatory requirements, operational readiness and scope.
  • Chair working groups, steering committees and governance forums, providing concise and actionable updates, recommendations and decision papers to senior stakeholders.
  • Drive standardisation and continuous improvement across migration methodologies, documentation, controls, governance and reusable delivery frameworks.
  • Support Client Service Delivery Managers in assessing service model impacts, changes to service-level reporting and deviations from standard operating models, ensuring these are appropriately reflected in service level agreements, operational documentation and handover materials.
  • Ensure effective knowledge transfer and handover to BAU teams, supporting a smooth transition from project delivery to steady-state operations.

Candidate Profile & Requirements

The successful candidate will ideally bring:

  • 5–10 years of experience in project management, programme delivery, change management or operational implementation within financial services, asset servicing, fund administration, investment management or a related environment.
  • A demonstrable track record of delivering large, complex programmes, ideally including fund migrations, administrator transitions, fund conversions, launches, mergers, liquidations or other fund lifecycle events.
  • Strong knowledge of investment funds and asset servicing operating models, including fund administration, transfer agency, custody, middle office, fund accounting and client service processes.
  • Proven experience managing migration plans, conversion events, data validation, reconciliations, testing, cutover readiness and post-implementation stabilisation.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence, challenge constructively and build trusted relationships with senior clients, internal stakeholders and external service providers.
  • Strong governance and project management discipline, with experience producing executive-level status reports, steering committee materials, RAID logs, project plans, runbooks and decision papers.
  • Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving capabilities, with a pragmatic, delivery-focused approach and the ability to remain effective under pressure.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams, competing priorities and complex dependencies, while maintaining strong delivery discipline and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
  • French and/or German language skills would be a significant advantage.
  • A recognised project management qualification such as PMP, PRINCE2, AgilePM or equivalent practical project delivery experience would be advantageous.

Key Competencies

We are looking for an individual who demonstrates:

  • Strong ownership and accountability
  • Client-centricity and professionalism
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management
  • Structured and disciplined project delivery
  • Strong risk and issue management
  • Ability to operate effectively in complex, changing environments
  • Pragmatic and solutions-oriented mindset
  • Strong attention to detail without losing sight of the bigger picture
  • Ability to influence and collaborate across multiple functions and organisational levels

What Success Looks Like

Success in this role will be measured by the ability to consistently deliver complex fund migration programmes on time, within agreed scope and to the required quality standards, while maintaining strong client relationships, effective governance and operational readiness.

The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring that fund events are delivered smoothly and efficiently, while contributing to the continuous improvement and evolution of the organisation's fund migration methodology, operating model and delivery capabilities.
