Full description

Your main tasks

  • Design, implement and maintain embedded software based on requirements and software architecture
  • Document software designs and implementation decisions
  • Develop and maintain software units and components in MISRA C, following IEC 62304 and applicable development processes
  • Create and maintain test cases in C++ using an established testing framework
  • Review colleagues’ work and provide constructive Feedback
  • Help select technologies, frameworks and tools that support modular, maintainable software
  • Collaborate with colleagues in hardware, testing and requirements engineering to develop and verify solutions
  • Contribute to improvements in the team’s development practices, tools and processes
  • Participate in innovation activities across relevant fields

Your profile

  • Experience developing embedded software in an agile team, such as Scrum
  • Confident working with C, software design, unit testing and version control
  • An understanding of software development in a regulated environment; experience in medical devices or another safety-critical field, such as automotive, aerospace or defence, is an advantage
  • A thoughtful approach to software design, with a focus on clear separation of concerns and maintainability
  • Practical experience with bare-metal software for low-power devices and an interest in RTOS-based systems
  • A strong commitment to quality, paired with a pragmatic, solution-oriented approach
  • Open communication and a sense of responsibility, contributing to a constructive team culture
  • Motivation to contribute to products that make a difference for people living with diabetes
  • Fluent English; German is an advantage
  • Experience with STM32, C++, Git, UML, unit testing frameworks, build systems, CI/CD, Python or IBM Engineering Requirements Management DOORS Next is an advantage
