We are looking for an exceptional Instructor, Computer Network & Cybersecurity Engineering to join our team.

POSITION SUMMARY
The person in this role will be teaching the course in the discipline area of Computer Network & Cybersecurity Engineering. The instructor works with staff and students to foster a nurturing atmosphere, where students can acquire the required skills and prepare them for success in the job market. The incumbent will be responsible for delivering high quality and understandable instructions, creating a collaborative and interactive environment in class, participating in overall development of students and must show interest in the other functions and events of the Computek College.
DUTIES
Duties include but are not limited to the following:
- Develop, design, and update the course curriculum to ensure optimum student learning, encourage classroom discussions and constantly build student engagement
- Teach in the Computer Network & Cybersecurity areas such as CompTia A+, Security+, Network+, CCNA, CCNP, Cloud Infrastructure, CISSP, ethical hacking, windows operating system, information security, mobile application security, etc.
- Stay abreast with latest developments in the field of cybersecurity, information security and computer networks
- Plan classroom instructions ahead of time to ensure best student learning
- Select appropriate teaching method to adapt to various students’ needs
- When required, act as an advisor, counsel the students about course
- Be a mentor and coach to the students, guide them on how to be best prepared and navigate them through the course
- Maintain a positive attitude in interactions with colleagues, staff and students and proactively participate in resolving students’ concerns
- Develop skills in students with an objective of preparing them for successful and practical application of acquired learning in real world
- Stay current in their discipline area by engaging in on-going professional development, including back-to-industry, attending conferences and trainings
- Participate in faculty meetings, student functions and other activities of the college
- Abide by the college policies and demonstrate Computek College’s values
- Complete all teaching administrative tasks on student CRM such as classroom attendance, evaluation results, grade submissions and other student records within deadlines
- Enhance organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments
- Other duties as assigned
JOB SPECIFICATION/QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
Qualifications include, but are not limited to the following:
- Degree or diploma in the field of Computer Science, and/or a related field and/or equivalent work experience
- Discipline specific certifications such as CompTIA Security +, CCNA Security MS Windows Server 2012, CISA, CISSP, CSA, CEH, CHFI, ECSA
- Practical work experience in the discipline area is a strong asset
- Experience working with international students is a strong asset
- Some experience in teaching and curriculum development
- Good computer skills including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
- Should be comfortable with the use of technology in the classroom
- Understanding and demonstrated application of adult learning principles is a strong asset
- Excellent written and verbal communication and attention to detail skills, including presentation skills
- Must be committed to excellence in teaching
