Role Overview:We are looking for a Cloud Support Engineer to provide day-to-day operational support, monitoring, and troubleshooting of GCP infrastructure supporting production services. The role ensures cloud services remain available, secure, properly configured, and recoverable.
Key Responsibilities:• Monitor and support GCP production infrastructure, including Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, IAM, VPC, load balancers, and related services.
- Perform daily health checks across cloud infrastructure.
- Investigate infrastructure-related incidents and service degradation.
- Troubleshoot connectivity, VM, storage, IAM, firewall, networking, and resource-utilization issues.
- Review GCP Cloud Logging and Cloud Monitoring alerts and logs.
- Execute approved operational runbooks and recovery procedures.
- Support incident resolution and participate in root-cause analysis.
- Coordinate with application, database, network, security, and cloud engineering teams during incidents.
- Support backup, recovery, capacity, and availability activities.
- Maintain infrastructure operational documentation and troubleshooting procedures.
- Escalate defects or infrastructure changes requiring engineering intervention.
- Support production changes and perform post-change validation.
Preferred Qualifications:• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or equivalent.
- Google Associate Cloud Engineer certification preferred.
- ITIL Foundation is an advantage.
- Experience supporting business-critical production environments.
