Role Overview

As a Data Scientist (0–2 years), you will work at the intersection of analytics, machine learning, and product. You will analyze listing and performance data, build dashboards to support internal decision-making, and contribute to the development and ownership of data models that improve ranking and visibility on OTAs.

You will collaborate closely with the data science and product teams on analytics, modeling, and decision support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze large datasets using SQL (PostgreSQL, BigQuery) and Python to generate actionable insights.
  • Build and maintain Looker dashboards and analytical reports to support internal product and business decisions.
  • Perform exploratory data analysis to identify trends, anomalies, and optimization opportunities.
  • Support and gradually own machine learning models related to ranking, visibility, and performance.
  • Translate business and product questions into clear metrics and analytical frameworks.
  • Collaborate closely with data scientists and product managers on feature design and evaluation.
  • Ensure data quality, consistency, and reliability across analyses.
  • Document analyses, assumptions, and methodologies clearly.

Requirements

Must-Have

  • 0–2 years of experience in a Data Scientist, Data Analyst, or similar role (including internships or strong academic projects).
  • Strong SQL skills for analytics.
  • Experience using Python for data analysis and modeling (Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn or equivalent).
  • Solid understanding of statistics and analytical reasoning.
  • Experience building dashboards or analytical reports to support decision-making.
  • Ability to communicate insights clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong curiosity, ownership mindset, and willingness to learn.

Nice-to-Have

  • Experience with BigQuery or cloud data warehouses.
  • Familiarity with Looker or other BI tools.
  • Exposure to machine learning models in applied or production-like contexts.
  • Experience working with product teams.
