Full description

As a Data Scientist II here at Honeywell, you will develop and implement advanced analytics models to solve complex business problems, collaborating with teams to deliver actionable insights and drive data-driven innovation. You will report directly to the Director of IT and Cybersecurity Audit, and you’ll work out of our Charlotte, NC HQ on an in office for first 90 days then Hybrid work schedule.

In this role, you will impact the development and deployment of advanced analytics and machine learning models that support audit, risk management, cybersecurity and fraud detection efforts, while ensuring compliance with industry regulations and enhancing operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Apply expertise in machine learning, statistical modeling, and data analysis to develop and implement advanced algorithms and analytical solutions
  • Manage endtoend data science projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives and the successful delivery of actionable insights
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior data scientists, fostering a collaborative and innovative team culture
  • Contribute to the strategic vision of the Data Science team, providing input on initiatives that align with business objectives
  • Apply strong analytical and problemsolving skills to address complex data challenges and generate valuable insights

Qualifications

YOU MUST HAVE

 

  • 2+ years of experience in data analysis, statistical modeling, or another related field
  • 2+ years of experience developing and implementing advanced analytics models, machine learning models, or statistical algorithms
  • 2+ years of experience managing or contributing to data science, analytics, or machine learning projects from development through implementation

 

WE VALUE

  • Bachelor’s degree or Advanced degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related discipline
  • Experience in leading and ownership of complex data projects
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R
  • Strategic thinking and the ability to align data science initiatives with business objectives
