We are looking for an Application Support Engineer / .NET + React Developer to join our engineering team in Tampa, Florida. This is a Work from Office role combining application support, backend development, troubleshooting, business analysis, and client engagement.
The primary responsibility will be supporting multiple business-critical applications, while also contributing to the development and enhancement of designated applications. The ideal candidate should be strong in C#, .NET, SQL Server, REST APIs, and backend troubleshooting, while also possessing excellent communication and client-facing skills.
We are looking for someone who can understand a business problem, investigate the technical root cause, communicate effectively with stakeholders, and deliver a sustainable solution.

Key Responsibilities
- Application Support & Troubleshooting
- Provide technical support for multiple applications across UAT, and production environments.
- Investigate and resolve application incidents, defects, and service requests.
- Troubleshoot issues across .NET applications, APIs, databases, integrations, and application logs.
- Perform root-cause analysis and implement permanent fixes or appropriate workarounds.
- Monitor recurring issues and proactively identify opportunities for application improvement.
- Support production releases, deployments, and post-release validation.
- Prioritize and manage multiple incidents based on business impact and severity.
- Maintain technical documentation and knowledge-based articles
Backend Development
- Design, develop, test, and maintain applications using C# and .NET / .NET Core.
- Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and backend services.
- Implement business logic, integrations, and application enhancements.
- Write clean, maintainable, scalable, and testable code.
- Participate in code reviews, unit testing, debugging, and application modernization.
- Collaborate with senior engineers, QA, DevOps, and other technical teams.
SQL & Database
- Write and troubleshoot complex SQL Server queries.
- Develop and maintain stored procedures, views, and database operations.
- Analyze data to troubleshoot production issues and identify root causes.
- Understand relational database concepts, transactions, indexing, and basic query optimization.
Business Analysis & Client Engagement
- Work directly with clients and business users to understand application issues and requirements.
- Translate business needs into technical requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Participate in requirement-gathering sessions, UAT, application demonstrations, and client meetings.
- Communicate technical issues and solutions clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
- Take ownership of issues from initial investigation through resolution.
Required Technical Skills
Must Have:
- C# and .NET / .NET Core
- ASP.NET Core / Web API
- REST APIs
- Strong Microsoft SQL Server / SQL skills
- Object-Oriented Programming
- Entity Framework / LINQ
- Debugging and troubleshooting
- Git and modern development practices
- Basic understanding of CI/CD and cloud environments
- Excellent verbal and written communication
Supporting Skills
- Basic React / JavaScript knowledge
- JSON / XML
- Postman or similar API testing tools
- Application logging and monitoring
- Azure DevOps, Jira, ServiceNow, or similar tools
Cloud Certification
- Candidates must hold at least one recognized cloud certification, such as:
- Microsoft Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900) or higher
- Azure Developer Associate (AZ-204)
- AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner or higher
- AWS Developer Associate
- Google Cloud certification
- Hands-on Azure or AWS experience is strongly preferred.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 1–4 years of professional experience in software development, application support, or a combination of both.
- Strong backend development and SQL fundamentals.
- Experience troubleshooting production applications and APIs.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
- Comfortable working with multiple applications and priorities.
- Willingness to work on-site in Tampa, Florida.
