This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Sr. Applications Developer (Salesforce) based in United States.
This is a fully remote opportunity for an experienced Salesforce developer to design, build, and enhance enterprise-scale solutions that support critical healthcare consumer experiences. You will play a key role in shaping Salesforce architecture, developing custom applications, and integrating the platform with broader enterprise systems. The role combines hands-on engineering with architectural thinking, requiring strong expertise across Salesforce development, integrations, automation, and security. You will collaborate within an Agile software engineering environment while continuously evaluating new Salesforce capabilities. You will also leverage AI technologies such as Einstein AI and Agentforce to accelerate development and enable intelligent automation. The position offers meaningful technical ownership within a mission-driven organization focused on improving how people manage healthcare and financial well-being.

Accountabilities:
- Design and present technical Salesforce solutions using UML and object-oriented design patterns, ensuring business requirements are translated into scalable solutions and the overall architecture remains stable.
- Develop and maintain Salesforce applications using Apex Classes, Apex Triggers, Batch Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Aura Components, Visualforce, SOQL, SOSL, Flows, Process Builder, Platform Events, Change Data Capture, Platform Cache, and Salesforce APIs.
- Build and maintain integrations between Salesforce and enterprise platforms using REST, SOAP, third-party APIs, and middleware solutions such as Dell Boomi and MuleSoft.
- Customize Salesforce capabilities and integrate with enterprise systems including telephony/CTI platforms, financial systems, and internal databases.
- Support Salesforce implementations across multi-instance environments, maintaining consistency, scalability, security, and performance.
- Apply advanced Agile software engineering practices across design, coding, testing, debugging, deployment, maintenance, and continuous improvement.
- Maintain strong awareness of Salesforce product releases and emerging platform capabilities, identifying opportunities to improve functionality and operational efficiency.
- Leverage Salesforce AI capabilities, including Einstein AI and Agentforce, to accelerate development, support intelligent automation, enable predictive analytics, and improve business outcomes.
- Contribute to deployment and version-control practices using tools such as GitHub or Gearset, ensuring reliable and traceable software delivery.
- Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to understand requirements, solve complex problems, and deliver solutions aligned with broader organizational objectives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Studies, or a related field, combined with at least 5 years of experience in the position offered or a related software development role.
- Demonstrated professional experience with custom coding and software development on the Salesforce platform.
- Strong knowledge of Salesforce configuration, including standard and custom objects, page layouts, validation rules, workflows, alerts, process automation, user management, roles, profiles, permission sets, sharing rules, and security settings.
- Experience implementing Salesforce within multi-instance environments and strong knowledge of Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Community Cloud.
- Hands-on experience with Salesforce integrations, including REST/SOAP APIs, third-party technologies, middleware, and enterprise systems.
- Experience with Apttus or similar CPQ platforms, including Lead-to-Close processes.
- Experience integrating Salesforce with NetSuite or comparable financial systems.
- Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud and enterprise CRM environments.
- Strong understanding of Salesforce development technologies including Apex, Lightning Web Components, Aura, Visualforce, SOQL, SOSL, Flows, Platform Events, and related platform services.
- Experience with Salesforce Einstein AI and Agentforce, particularly for intelligent automation, predictive analytics, or autonomous workflows.
- Experience with deployment and version-control tools such as GitHub or Gearset.
- Strong software design, coding, testing, maintenance, debugging, and problem-solving capabilities within an Agile development environment.
- Ability to understand complex business problems, communicate technical solutions clearly, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong interest in emerging Salesforce technologies and the ability to quickly adopt new platform capabilities.
