Job Summary
PSEG Long Island's Customer Intelligence team is seeking a highly analytical and innovative professional to transform customer and operational data into actionable insights that drive strategic decision-making and elevate customer experiences.
This role will leverage advanced analytics, statistical modeling, machine learning, artificial intelligence, and data visualization techniques to understand customer behavior, identify trends, predict outcomes, and optimize customer interactions. The successful candidate will play a key role in translating complex data into meaningful business insights, collaborating across functions, and advancing the organization's use of modern analytics and AI technologies to amplify the Voice of the Customer throughout the company.
Job Responsibilities
- Design & develop automated dashboards and create meaningful data visualizations that enable business leaders to track customer experience metrics, provide reporting solutions and support deep dive analytics.
- Work cross functionally to pull together information from internal and external sources to develop, launch, and track the performance of key initiatives aimed at improving customer experience and supporting higher J.D. Power performance.
- Support end-to-end Voice of the Customer (VoC) programs, customer segmentation, propensity modeling, and predictive analytics initiatives.
- Ensure data quality, governance, and adherence to analytical best practices.
- Proactively suggest advanced analytics solutions, analyze structured (quantitative) and unstructured (text, voice recordings) data, develop & deploy machine learning models and text analytics solutions.
- Establish external and internal relationships to share best practices in data science, stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies
Job Specific Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferably in Data Science, Data Analytics, Statistics, Business, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience performing data analytics or data science
- Experience designing and developing dashboards using Tableau and/or Power BI.
- Expertise in data wrangling, including integrating multiple data sources into cohesive data assets and aggregating large datasets for specific purposes.
- Proficiency with data preparation and workflow automation tools such as Alteryx or Tableau Prep.
- Experience with Python, SQL or R and machine learning methodologies.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables, Word, PowerPoint
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
- Passion for customer insights and a commitment to improving customer experience through data-driven decision-making.
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team
Desired:
- Familiarity with J.D. Power and/or other electric utility voice of the customer resources
- Experience with Customer research methodology, tools and techniques
