The project:
This is an opportunity to work on one of the largest programmes in Saudi Arabia. This unique project consists of major mixed-use development including sports facilities, entertainment, and arts along with all associated infrastructure.
We are seeking an experienced senior project manager to join our project management team on a high-profile mixed-use development currently in the construction phase. Acting as part of the programme delivery partner organisation, you will lead the delivery of major building works from construction through to testing, commissioning, handover, and close-out.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Manage the delivery of a major building package through the construction and handover phases.
- Manage and coordinate contractors, consultants, specialists, and internal project controls teams to achieve programme objectives.
- Monitor construction progress against approved schedules and identify mitigation measures where required.
- Ensure all works are delivered in accordance with contractual obligations, quality standards, safety requirements, and project procedures.
- Chair project meetings and provide clear reporting on progress, risks, issues, opportunities, and key decisions.
- Review contractor programmes, methodologies, recovery plans, and resource strategies.
- Drive proactive risk management and resolution of technical, commercial, and operational issues.
- Oversee testing, commissioning, snagging, and project close-out activities.
- Support governance processes, approvals, and project reporting requirements.
- Foster a collaborative working environment across all project stakeholders.
- Champion health, safety, sustainability, and quality performance throughout delivery.
- Mentor and support project managers and other junior team members.
You'll need to have:
- Degree qualified in civil engineering, construction management, architecture, project management, or a related discipline.
- Professional membership such as MRICS, MCIOB, PMP, or equivalent is desirable.
- Extensive years of experience delivering large-scale building developments.
- Proven track record working in a project management consultancy, delivery partner, PMC, or client organisation.
- Strong construction-phase experience on large mixed-use, hospitality, leisure, entertainment, commercial, or complex building projects.
- Experience managing multiple contractors and consultant teams on major programmes.
- Strong understanding of contract administration, project controls, scheduling, risk management, and change management.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams within fast-paced delivery environments.
- Experience through commissioning, testing, handover, and operational readiness is highly desirable.
