Job Description

To support this mission, Syngenta is seeking a Service Delivery Manager in Malta, IL. This role will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of facility management services through Global Facility Management (GFM) and partner suppliers across assigned site(s). This position ensures services consistently meet established standards, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and regulatory and compliance requirements.
Working closely with business leaders, internal stakeholders, suppliers, contractors, and landlords, the Service Delivery Manager supports safe, efficient, cost-effective, and productive workplaces where employees can perform at their highest potential. The role oversees service performance, employee communications, real estate activities, budgets, financial trends, accruals, and facility-related projects. A key focus is driving continuous improvement and implementing scalable, agile, value-added, and fit-for-purpose facility management solutions aligned with regional and global objectives.
Accountabilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employees, GFM suppliers, external contractors, business partners, and other stakeholders supporting facility operations at assigned site(s).
- Ensure site activities comply with applicable legal, regulatory, fiscal, Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE), and corporate requirements; identify and escalate gaps to the Senior Service Delivery Manager.
- Partner with site and business leaders to support business continuity, operational innovation, and regional and global sustainability goals.
- Monitor supplier performance against established KPIs, SLAs, governance standards, and contractual requirements while driving continuous improvement.
- Lead tenant and employee communications regarding building shutdowns, maintenance, construction, emergencies, and other facility-related activities.
- Manage applicable landlord relationships, lease compliance, common area maintenance charges, building-management coordination, and alignment with real estate strategy.
- Oversee site-level real estate activities, portfolio records, and transactions, such as maintaining the Syngenta Property Database and Real Estate Tracker.
- Develop and manage GFM budgets in partnership with the Senior Service Delivery Manager, Regional GFM Head, GFM Finance, and supplier partners; monitor spending, trends, and accruals against budget.
- Lead or support GFM capital, maintenance, operational, and facility-related projects, ensuring delivery within established time, cost, scope, and quality expectations.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or another closely related field.
- Minimum of five years of demonstrated experience in corporate facilities management and real estate operations, such as executive-level collaboration and stakeholder engagement.
- Working knowledge of applicable regulatory, legal, compliance, and HSE requirements within a facilities management environment.
- Experience developing and managing budgets, spending forecasts, accruals, and financial performance within a complex operational environment.
- Demonstrated expertise in governance and contract management, such as oversight of SLAs and KPIs.
- Proven experience managing third-party suppliers, contractors, and service providers while building strong relationships with internal business partners.
- Working knowledge of artificial intelligence and machine learning concepts, such as the practical application of Internet of Things (IoT) solutions within facilities or operations.

- Strong stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to adjust communication and influence strategies for different audiences.
- Experience executing enterprise-wide transformation strategies that produce measurable and sustainable results.
- Ability to quickly learn and align facility-management priorities with the Syngenta Crop Protection business strategy.
- Proven ability to organize, prioritize, and execute multiple responsibilities with minimal supervision.
Additional Information
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
- This is a hybrid position requiring on-site presence at least three days per week.
- Periodic travel throughout North America may be required based on business needs, generally not exceeding 10% annually.
- Professional fluency in English is required.
- Proficiency in additional languages is highly valued.
Salary for this position ranges between $105,700 - $196,300 annually.
