We're looking for a Senior Manager, Enterprise Data Platform to join Procore's Enterprise Data Engineering team. In this role, you'll build and lead the team that runs the foundation of Procore's enterprise data ecosystem, making sure the platform is reliable, secure, cost-efficient, and easy for engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to use. Your team's work will directly determine how quickly the business can get from data to decisions, including the AI capabilities built on top of the platform.

As a Senior Manager, Enterprise Data Platform, you'll own the infrastructure, operations, DevOps, and governance of our data platform, spanning Snowflake, Databricks, AWS, Airflow, dbt, Fivetran, Census, and Tableau. You'll grow a high-performing team in Bengaluru, build the tools and frameworks that make other teams more productive, and provide platform support across global time zones in partnership with our US-based teams.

This position reports to the Director, Enterprise Data Engineering and will be based in our Bengaluru, Karnātaka office.

What you'll do

  • Own the infrastructure, operations, and reliability of Procore's enterprise data platform, including Snowflake, Databricks, AWS, Airflow, dbt, Fivetran, Census, and Tableau, with clear SLAs, monitoring, and incident management
  • Lead data DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, automated testing, and environment management, so teams can ship data changes quickly and safely
  • Build platform tools, frameworks, and self-service capabilities that make it easier for engineers and analysts to build pipelines, access data, and adopt AI features on the platform
  • Own platform cost management (FinOps), including usage monitoring, chargeback/showback, optimization, and vendor and license management
  • Implement security and governance controls, including role-based access, PII handling, audit logging, and compliance requirements, in partnership with Security, Legal, and the Enterprise Data Architect
  • Establish a follow-the-sun support model with US-based teams, including on-call rotations, runbooks, and escalation paths
  • Hire, retain, and grow a high-performing team of data platform engineers and, as the team scales, engineering managers, with clear career paths, regular feedback, and accountable performance management
  • Partner with data engineering, analytics, enterprise systems, and business teams to define and drive the platform roadmap, translating stakeholder needs into priorities and communicating trade-offs clearly

What we're looking for

  • 8+ years of experience in data engineering, data platform, or infrastructure engineering, including 3+ years managing engineering teams
  • Hands-on experience administering and operating Snowflake and/or Databricks at enterprise scale, including performance tuning, security configuration, and cost optimization
  • Strong working knowledge of Fivetran, dbt, Airflow, Census, and Tableau, including how they are deployed, monitored, and supported in production
  • Experience with AWS and infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform), CI/CD tooling (e.g., GitHub Actions), and observability practices for data systems
  • Experience running production platforms with defined SLAs, incident management, and on-call support, ideally across multiple time zones
  • Experience implementing data security, access control, and governance programs in a compliance-sensitive environment (e.g., SOC 2, GDPR, SOX)
  • A track record of hiring, developing, and retaining strong engineers, and building a healthy, high-performing team culture
  • Demonstrated ability to work across technical and business teams to build and drive a technical roadmap, with excellent communication skills and comfort working with global, distributed stakeholders
