Citi is delighted to open applications for the Application Development and Software Engineering stream of its Reactivate Your Career Program. The Program is designed to help you transition from a career break into a career within financial services. You may have worked in the finance sector, the tech sector or another industry altogether!
Returners in the Application Development and Software Engineering stream, will have the opportunity to utilize their knowledge of applications development procedures and concepts, and basic knowledge of other technical areas to identify and define necessary system enhancements, including using script tools and analyzing/interpreting code.
We are interested in applications from those who have a range of experience including, but not limited to:
- Experience: A minimum of 4 years of professional experience in software development, with a significant focus on Python.
- Python Expertise: Strong understanding of Python and its ecosystem, including experience with common frameworks (e.g., Django, Flask, FastAPI) and libraries.
- Kubernetes: Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, including cluster management, application deployment (Helm charts), and monitoring.
- Containers: Proficient in containerization technologies, primarily Docker, including building optimized and secure container images.
- Cloud Platforms: Experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, GCP, Azure)
- GenAI/AgenticAI Development: Exposure to GenAI/AgenticAI development, with a basic understanding of frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn

Eligible candidates will....
- Have been on a career break for at least 18 months
- Have a minimum of 4 -5 years professional work experience in an Application Development / Software Engineering environment
- Be eligible to live and work in India
- Demonstrate natural curiosity and be motivated to learn new skills, with a proactive attitude toward new technologies and methodologies
- Exhibit excellent teamwork, able to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams
- Effective communicator with a problem solving mindset and exhibit accountability
- Possess working knowledge of English
