DePuy Synthes is recruiting for Senior Financial Analyst – International Finance MSM – The Netherlands, located in Amersfoort, The Netherlands
Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Orthopedics business to establish a standalone orthopedics company, operating as DePuy Synthes. The process of the planned separation is anticipated to be completed within 18 to 24 months, subject to legal requirements, including consultation with works councils and other employee representative bodies, as may be required, regulatory approvals and other customary conditions and approvals. The Senior Financial Analyst – International Finance MSM – The Netherlands plays a critical role in supporting the Midsize Market (MSM) Finance organization through commercial business partnering, performance management, financial control activities and regional financial consolidation.
The role serves as the finance partner to the commercial organization in the Netherlands as well as the Service and Repair EMEA organization while also supporting the consolidation of financial performance across the MSM region. In addition, the position is responsible for ensuring strong financial stewardship through operational finance processes, accounting support, internal controls, and compliance activities. This role offers broad exposure to commercial leadership and international finance, providing an excellent opportunity for a finance professional looking to develop expertise across business partnering, FP&A, and financial control within a leading global MedTech organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Control & Accounting
- Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities to ensure accurate and compliant financial reporting for DePuy Synthes The Netherlands and Service and Repair EMEA.
- Review postings, accruals, reconciliations, and other accounting transactions.
- Ensure compliance with company policies of DePuy Synthes, internal controls, and financial accounting policies.
- Support and drive continuous improvements in operational finance processes, audits, and governance activities.
Commercial Business Partnering
- Serve as a finance partner to the commercial organization of DePuy Synthes (DS) The Netherlands and Service and Repair EMEA.
- Support business decision-making through proactive financial insights and analysis related to growth opportunities, investments and profitability by actively partnering with sales, marketing, supply chain, pricing and other cross-functional teams.
- Support forecasting- and budgeting cycles (BP, JU, NU, LT) and performance reviews for both DePuy Synthes The Netherlands and Service and Repair EMEA.
- Challenge assumptions and identify opportunities to improve overall business performance, SLOB/EO management and operational excellence.
Process Improvement & Analytics
- Contribute to the successful execution of the Osprey Finance Separation of DePuy Synthes, ensuring effective financial planning, reporting, and control throughout the transition.
- Drive continuous improvements in finance processes, reporting, and analytics by leveraging digital tools, AI and analytics.
- Support key business initiatives and other finance transformation projects, processes and system integrations (DFIN).
MSM Consolidation & Performance Management
- Support consolidation and reporting of financial results across DS MSM region.
- Prepare management reporting, forecasts, and planning submissions.
- Partner with regional finance teams to ensure accuracy and consistency of financial information.
Qualifications:
Education
- Preferably a Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience & Skills
- 5 years of experience in Business Control, Financial Control, FP&A or related finance roles.
- Fluency both in English and Dutch required.
- Strong understanding of business partnering, budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and accounting principles.
- Experience in supporting and communicating with commercial and operational stakeholders in a dynamic business environment.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and financial modelling skills.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with reporting and planning tools (e.g., Power BI, SAP, Anaplan).
- Experience in an international and/or matrix organization.
- MedTech, Healthcare, FMCG, or multinational company experience preferred.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is:
€64,000.00 - €103,040.00
